Congratulations to our own Larry Clark, as well as the Bartram Trail High School Wind Symphony and Director Jason Duckett on the premiere of "Duckett's Grove" at the National Band and Orchestra Festival at Carnegie Hall this past Friday.

"It was my honor to have been commissioned by the Bartram Trail High School Wind Symphony and their conductor Jason Duckett to write “Duckett’s Grove,” and to have it premiered during their Carnegie Hall performance. The piece is a challenging work consisting of an Irish Jig, Hymn, and Reel. It was exciting for me to be in attendance for the premiere!" - Larry Clark

You can now listen to the four upcoming Concert Band releases from Yukiko Nishimura 西邑由記子! (link in comments) Sheet music releases this spring 🌿! New:

"Joyful Lily" (2)- Lush harmonies dot the page in this wonderful new work for band. The delicate nature of the "Lily" is on display in this joyful and inspired work!

"The First Noel" (3)- Bring a fresh and jazzy twist to your holiday program with this gorgeous arrangement of the beloved carol. Featuring vibrant harmonies and accessible rhythms, this piece is perfect for intermediate-level musicians. The intro alone is worth the price of admission.

"String of Dolphins" (4)- Is there anything more exciting than being at the ocean and seeing a pod of dolphins playing offshore? This tuneful and emotionally inspiring piece uses the sounds of pure joy to paint this picture. Covering a wide range of 6/8 rhythms, this piece is a fun and rewarding musical and technical challenge.

"Golden Age" (5)- Golden is the perfect term to describe this work, as composer Yukiko Nishimura's harmonic palette practically shimmers. Wonderful brass scoring and idiomatic woodwind lines stitch together a bold new work for the concert band repertoire.
