US Congresswoman for the 11th District Shontal Brown stopped for for a Town Hall meeting hosted by Mayor Meghan George. While we all appreciate what she has done for Lakewood and the 11th District, this meeting was about President's Trump Budget and what it means for the 11th District. First Energy Meeting: A Joke
Having been involved in these sort of meetings for decades, this represents the typical corporate, let's kick the ball down the road, meeting. The promised they would try to deliver 3rd World Power to us and failed. Now after 2 hours, we were told we could call their emergency number next time power goes out. WTF?!

Last day to register

Today is the last day to register to vote. Make sure your voice is heard! Register in person at the Board of Elections before 9:00 PM tonight or online at VoteOhio.gov.

This morning at 11 am the 17th Annual Cops Ride is came through Lakewood Ohio. Lakewood Fire Department and Lakewood Firefighters Local 382 raised the flag as they always do when an event honoring first responders come through Lakewood. This event, organized by Cops Ride Cleveland Ohio, is a motorcycle ride that honors fallen law enforcement officers and supports related charities, and in honor four Ohio Fallen Officers:
Ohio Dept of Correction Lt Rodney Osborne
Euclid Officer Jacob Derbin
Cleveland Officer Jamieson Ritter
Ohio Dept of Correction Andrew Lansing

FirstEnergy/The Illuminating Company is hosting a town hall meeting on August 11, 2025 at 5:30 PM in the Lakewood Civic Auditorium. FirstEnergy will present their plans to improve Lakewood's electric infrastructure, and residents will have the opportunity to provide feedback.
