Our team has been working immensely production after production. Right now, we are in production of video 4 & 5 for the Know Your Rights video series presented by Western Native Voice

We are currently looking for talent, male and female, 16yrs or older to portray the characters that will be played over the narrators scripted dialogue. The talent will have no scripted dialogue and will be acting out what the director/producer request to fit the scenario.

It has been far too long since our last post. It seems like we’ve been on break but we’ve been working extremely hard restructuring internal production operations and developing new business partners throughout Indian Country. We’ve also settled in and established our official home base, on the beautiful Northern Cheyenne Nation. Wohehiv Films is ecstatic to announce that we are back!!

Currently, one of our major projects is the production of a short video series. We are looking for two Native actors; One Male (16 or Older) and One Female (16 or Older). Prayers for our Northern Cheyenne Tribal School boys and girls basketball players (Eagles) and coaches heading to districts to fight for the WIN. These students fight hard and play with heart until the very end of every game, win or lose. Can't wait to be with them this weekend to watch their efforts pay off. Skostoodisden Eagles!! Also, proud to stand in prayer with the Morning Star boys and girls before they take off on their journey to their district tournament. @ Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation

The team will be hosting model auditions in the heart of the Northern Cheyenne Nation, Lame Deer, Montana, at the Tribal Chambers on 01/25/2020.

This is the location where the Crow and Arikara scouts spotted the Cheyenne and Lakota camp, which is seen here in the far distance behind me, known as the "Crows Nest." Hours later, the Cheyenne and allies defeated the United States in what is known as, the Battle of Little Big Horn. Wohehiv Films is currently producing a short documentary, in partnership with the Cheyenne Nation and the State of Montana, which will briefly tell the Cheyenne version of what happened back on June 25th & 26th, 1876. We commemorate that defeat during the "Cheyenne Victory Days" powwow, every summer on June 25th and 26th. More details will be released as the films completion date nears. Nea'ese to the Cheyenne Nation for this opportunity to help tell our side of the story.

It has been several months since our last post and update. Here is what has been going on…

Over these past few months, our team has been adjusting to our BIG MOVE from our home away from home base in Denver, Colorado to our new location back home on the Northern Cheyenne Nation. It has been a great honor to have the opportunity to move home, and continue to do the work that we do and tell our stories, this time, for the people of the great Cheyenne Nation. This new video "Brave Woman" is a short film that documents the commemoration run honoring “Buffalo Calf Road Woman” in her fight to save her brother, in what is known as the “Battle Where the Sister Saved Her Brother.” It was a tremendous honor to work with our very own, Northern Cheyenne Tribal Historic Preservation Office (Northern Cheyenne THPO) to document this run. Huge thanks to Goldstein Little Eagle, Cinnamon Spear, Spirit Stump, Ariann Little Bird, and Regina Arthur along with all the runners and coordinators involved with making this run possible.

Last weekend was definitely one for the history books at Native Fashion in the City. Not only was the Northern Cheyenne Nation represented behind the scenes and on the red carpet with Wohehiv Films, but we were also represented backstage and on the fashion show runway itself. Sage Braided Hair and Hayden Walker, both Northern Cheyenne (pictured in the post), graced the runway, modeling as and with the best models and designers in Indian Country. Big shout out to Viki Eagle of Real Life Indian, the official event photographer, for capturing these phenomenal shots of our amazing Northern Cheyenne models, the first Northern Cheyenne Male models to ever walk the NFITC runway, Nea’ese!! This was a great year to end the production of our Feature Length Documentary, “Native Fashion In The City: Cultural Appreciation, Not Appropriation.” Coming Fall, 2019.
