Tuesday night brought an interesting test for the Badger basketball team, as they had to play Thorndale -- a 2A team ranked in the top 10 in the state -- without Beau Patterson, one of their best players.

Lampasas trailed for large portions of the game, but through a great fourth quarter where the Badgers outscored the Bulldogs 15-5, the home team went on to win 51-44.

The Badger basketball team took a long road trip last weekend to play at a tournament in Van Vleck, down around the Gulf Coast. They finished the trip with a 4-2 record over six games, with both losses coming against Brazosport.

The Badgers will play host to Thorndale tonight, with the subvarsity games starting at 5 p.m. and the varsity to follow around 6:30 p.m.
