This was made with the same home built camera as yesterday: a 120 camera that takes Nikon lenses. Once again the 16mm Zenitar fish eye lens. The camera uses a Sinar shutter, so out has shutter speeds from 1/60 to 8 seconds. I was using Ektapa 400 processed in xtol. The circular frame is probably the inside of the lens barrel. Thanks for your attention

This is an image of a roadside memorial off Interstate 25, just past Santa Fe. I used one of my home built cameras for the shot. This one shoots on either 120 film or 4x5 film and uses Nikon F lenses. The lenses don’t fill the frame, particularly the 4x5 frame, but this way I can capture the whole image circle. I used my 16mm f2.8 Zenitar fish eye lens. This is usually a full frame fish eye lens, rather than a circular fish eye, but the extra film shows the whole lens image. I have often posted astrophotography images made with this lens. Thanks for your attention

One more panorama made at White Rock Overlook. I used the Burke & James Panoram, which was made in Britain during WWII as a torpedo camera. Burke and James re-made these in several configurations, and I’m lucky that mine has the 120mm f6.8 Schneider Angulon lens. I was using T-Max 400 processed in xtol. Thanks for your attention

Another image made in a cactus flower. Once again the Medical Nikkor, which was first produced in 1962! Among the early Nikon production for the F cameras. I used the 2X front element, the Nikon D-850 camera and a SB-900 Nikon flash. It’s astonishing that a lens introduced in 1962 fits on a camera introduced in 2017. Thanks for your attention

I went out last night to get a couple of star shots. Unless I am fantastically lucky, I have to assume that some or all of the random lines are starlink satellites. I made the image with my Nikon D-850 and 16mm f2.8 Zenitar fish eye lens. The Zenitar is a Soviet era lens and one of its features, or bugs if you prefer, are the various spaceships it finds. Of course these are lens flares. Thanks for your attention

Another one from White Rock Overlook. Amazing views. This was made with the Certo Six, a camera from the 1950s. It was made in East Germany and had a Zeiss Tessar lens. A really nice little folder with some odd features. Kodak Ektapan 400 processed in xtol. Thanks for your attention.

The cactus have started to bloom up here, which makes it a great time to photograph insects. They are really attracted to the cactus flowers. I was using the Nikon D-850 and a Medical Nikkor lens. The Medical Nikkor is a very strange lens, designed for photographing surgery and other technical pursuits. It has interchangeable front elements which control the reproduction ratio. I was using the strongest of these, the 2X. The field of view is less than an inch, which makes it difficult to compose. Also the lens does not focus; focus is accomplished by moving the camera. I was also using a Nikon SB 900 flash. Thanks for your attention
