PRESS RELEASE:
Taylor Swift has been elected to the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame (CPMHOF) Class of 2027! There will be an official ceremony; date/location TBD.
Taylor Swift was born in West Reading, PA and raised in Wyomissing, PA. She went to Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School, before her and her family moved to Nashville.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the CPMHOF focuses on youth music education. Therefore, to celebrate the upcoming 2027 induction of Taylor Swift, the Central Pennsylvania Youth All-Star Band has released a cover of Taylor’s “You Belong With Me.” The song is now available on all streaming services and the music video is viewable on the CPMHOF’s YouTube page. See link in comments.
For the video, because Taylor Swift’s favorite number is 13, 13 females (ages 7-18) sang vocals on the track. Three teenagers played and recorded the guitar, bass, and drums. The video is chock full of easter eggs for fans to find. Portions of the video were filmed outside of Taylor Swift’s childhood home and inside of her Junior/Senior High School!
CPMHOF Executive Director Brandon Valentine states, “We can’t wait to celebrate Taylor’s induction. We hope that Swifties love and share this music video and that Taylor herself sees it! We look forward to inducting her into our local Hall of Fame in 2027. She truly ‘belongs with us’ back in Central PA.”
The CPMHOF will be celebrating Taylor in advance of the 2027 induction ceremony with Swift themed open mics, concerts, and even a compilation album. Stay tuned!
