Coming sooooooooon

We’ve been pretty quiet lately. Our lives have been very busy. Back in June of this year we got together, filmed and recorded a live performance at The Kaleidoscope with Ben Roth and Jon Smith. Along with a film crew Andy Leonard and Taryn Gillen. This Friday we are going to drop one of the songs we performed and it’s off our last record “The Sound” Thanks to everyone who was involved in this and their patience with us making this all come to life. Thank you to our followers and listeners. We can’t wait to drop this and the new record “Before Then, Now”

Today marks the release of our long-awaited debut EP “Dichotomy”. We started writing the songs that would become this EP in the summer of 2018 through the fall of 2019. During that time, I was personally going through a huge transformation – dealing with physical and mental health issues, confronting my demons and trying to be and feel better. It wasn’t until Skyler and I started to talk about the title of the EP last November that I realized how these songs had captured that process.

Dichotomy represents the crossroads that many of us come to at different points in our lives - where who we have been and who we want to be intersect, where who we are comes into focus. It’s about making tough decisions that are ultimately better for us, but are difficult to make, overcome and live with.

With that being said, we wanted to take the time to thank some people who made this EP possible. First and foremost, we want to thank our personal friends, families and loved ones, especially Michele Capobianco, Ashley Giordano, Ellie Mulvenna, Michael & Jodi Foltz, who have supported us from the very beginning. We also wanted to thank our original bassist Tom Brown, who was a big part of getting this project off the ground in the early stages. We want to thank Dave Cipalla, owner of Lititz Flooring Company, who allowed us to practice in his warehouse when we lost our last practice space. We want to thank Ashley Giordano of Wild Ashes Photography, who took all of our early promo and live pictures. We want to thank JJ Hoeffner (J.J. Hoeffner- Audio Engineer), who gave us some early constructive input as well as some important tips during the demoing phase. We want to thank Tom Levecchia of Vekprint, LLC., who has printed most of our merch to this point. We want to thank Jon Smith and Ben Roth of The Kaleidoscope, who helped bring our vision to life amidst a lot of challenging circumstances, personal and otherwise. We want to thank John Doc Rossi, who brought his own unique vision to our song in our first music video.

Last and most importantly, we want to thank everyone who came to one of our shows, bought one of our shirts, pre-ordered Dichotomy, promoted our band to a friend, whether through social media or word of mouth, and made it all the way through this post. It’s a weird time to be a band, but seeing and hearing your support over the last year has validated and encouraged us. A thousand times, thank you.

- Graham, Eric, Skyler & Steve

We played what would end up being our final show on this day last year at The Kaleidoscope with our dear friends Worries, Jesse Barki & Cory Paternoster: Musician & Engineer, and new friends James Barrett Music. It's surreal looking back now and realizing it's already been one year. We've mostly been quiet since Ethan's unexpected loss last April as we continue to work through the grief and process the insanity of this past year. It's been challenging to come up with the words to express the emotions surrounding Ethan's death. I've wrestled with coming up with the "right thing" to say, going back and forth and still hitting the same wall only to realize there are no correct words. I know friends and family who have gone through major losses before, but at the time I was unable to fully grasp the depth of the emotions that follow and the accompanying grief--a grief they would continue to wear as a heavy outer layer unable to completely shed. My heart goes out to all those who have experienced a major loss and continue to work through the messiness that is grief. It sucks, but being kind to yourself and leaning in is all you can do. We've been especially fortunate for the love and support from the music community & friends from all over. Thank you. We're forever grateful for your kindness and generosity, especially towards Ethan's family following his passing. Tracking for our new album was completed a few weeks before our final show last February. It's been mixed and mastered since and we've been sitting on it for months figuring out how to move forward. It's particularly difficult to promote this album as we had originally planned, and we've been ever-so-slightly pushing back the day we begin to do so. While there won't be a release show, tour, or anything that would traditionally follow an album release, we do have a music video in the works for the single and will be pressing vinyl (more details to follow). Over the coming weeks we'll be sharing moments and memories throughout the band's history as a way to promote the new album. We hope that those who have listened to our music, came to shows, and supported us throughout the years can share in the joy of these memories--regardless if you were there experiencing them with us or not. Strangely enough, we happened to record our full set at The Kaleidoscope to watch/listen back to the footage of the three new tunes we played that night--something we never thought of doing until that night in the 6 or so years of playing shows. We'll be sharing some of those clips this week, starting with one of Ethan's favorites. Despite these recordings being limited to the onboard camera audio and the complete lack of camera angle consideration (we aren't video people), we hope you enjoy what turned out to be a proper banger. We couldn't have asked for a better send off than being surrounded by our closest friends at a venue that has treated us so well over the years. Feel free to share this post. That stuff is always helpful 🙏 Nick/Josh/John
