*JMC Rewind: Where the Journey Began

Before there was "It’s The Journey, Man," there was The JMC Podcast—a project that started it all. While this page is evolving, the roots of its story remain in the meaningful conversations and inspiring moments we shared along the way.

Today, we’re throwing it back to the very first episode of The JMC Podcast. My guest? None other than my wife, Alexsandra Arroyo. At the time, Alexsandra was an accomplished RN with her BSN and Wound Care Certification (WCC). With over 20 years of experience, her passion for helping others and her dedication to making a difference in people’s lives were the heart of our conversation.

We talked about her journey in healthcare, the challenges and triumphs she’s faced, and the impact she continues to make every day. Since then, Alexsandra has kept inspiring me and so many others, now pursuing her master’s degree as she continues to grow and thrive.

This episode was more than just a beginning—it was the foundation of a journey that’s still unfolding. Join me as I share these throwback moments and celebrate how far we’ve come.*

Here we go.

One last time.

A lot of mixed emotions for me personally. These past 3 years have been an amazing trip. This is a great way to ride off. This interview with Dave Costarella is the epitomy of what The Journeyman Chronicles is all about.

Get ready. 1 HOUR AWAY 🚨

As we close this chapter of "The JMC Podcast," I'm honored to share a conversation that personifies the spirit of community and transformation. Back in January 2024, I had the privilege of sitting down with Dave Costarella, a remarkable individual whose dedication to improving the lives of the homeless in Lancaster has not only changed lives but has also redefined communal interaction and support.

A few years ago, driven by the desire to assist those most vulnerable, Dave embarked on a journey many would shy away from. He interacted with the homeless as neighbors in need of a helping hand. By distributing food, clothing, and essential items, his initial efforts might have seemed modest, but the impact was undeniably profound. Listening to their stories and sharing their moments, both poignant and victorious, Dave learned that genuine human connections could offer more warmth than a blanket on a cold night.
This journey led to crucial collaborations with local leaders and community organizers to address systemic issues affecting the homeless. From securing porta-potties to organizing cleaning groups that promote healing and rehabilitation, their collective efforts demonstrated what can be achieved when a community unites under a common cause.

Dave's work also delved into mental health support, understanding early on that recovery extends beyond physical necessities. The transformations he witnessed - people moving from the streets into rehabilitation, and eventually into homes and jobs - affirmed the power of community support coupled with individual resilience.

Reflecting on these experiences, it's evident that Dave's role has been a conduit for the larger forces of kindness, solidarity, and hope. This story is about looking beyond preconceptions to foster a kinder, more inclusive world. From tangible changes in Lancaster to the subtle shifts in perception and attitude, every small step has contributed to a greater, collective leap toward humanity and compassion.

Thank you, Dave, for sharing your incredible journey and for inspiring us all to contribute to a kinder world. As we conclude this episode, let's view it not just as an ending, but a starting point for further conversations and actions that bridge gaps, heal wounds, and build stronger, more compassionate communities.

One last episode left.

It needs to be special.

And you already know it's going to be!

My last interview will be with a good person and one hell of a citizen and community member in Lancaster City.

Dave Costarella joins me for one hell of a series finale for JMC.

I spoke to Dave back in early January and I've been saving this episode for now because I knew it was perfect. I didn't realize at the time that I would be ending the podcast but once I decided to I knew this episode needed to be the last one to send it off on the right note. You want to talk about one decent person that's doing everything for their fellow person? Let's talk about Dave Costarella.

Monday night I'll see you all there!

Dear Friends and Followers,

I’m writing to share that next week’s episode will be the final one for the JMC Podcast. It has been a profound journey over the past three years as I've shared stories and experiences from the vibrant community of Lancaster. My focus has always been to provide a platform for everyone, especially BIPOC voices to be heard and respected, something that became more impactful than I had anticipated.

The JMC Podcast began as a space for open and honest conversations, and it has been a privilege to share over 100 episodes with you. Every story has contributed to personal and communal growth, and I am immensely grateful for the openness and trust of each guest who has joined me.

While the podcast has been incredibly rewarding, I feel it’s time to push beyond its current boundaries. The JMC Collective was born from this passion for deeper engagement, and I am eager to explore new avenues that allow for even more dynamic and expansive discussions.

Thank you to everyone who has invited me into your daily lives through this podcast. This is not the end of my journey or of JMC, but a transition to a new chapter with fresh, bold content that will continue to challenge and inspire.

I am forever thankful for the support, stories, and growth we’ve shared. Stay tuned for exciting updates as JMC Collective prepares to take it's next steps. Join me next week as we close this chapter with a memorable final episode.

With all my love, gratitude, and excitement,

Felix

Good morning everyone! I’m excited to share a video clip from my recent interview with Frank Palmieri, who hails from Buford, South Carolina. In this segment, Frank talks about how reading "The Alchemist" profoundly influenced his life.

"The Alchemist," written by Paulo Coelho, is a timeless novel that tells the story of Santiago, a shepherd boy who embarks on a journey to discover his personal legend. It's a tale of adventure, self-discovery, and the power of listening to your heart and the universe around you.

For Frank, this book played a pivotal role in shaping his outlook on life. He shares how it taught him to let the universe guide him, paying close attention to the vibes and energy around him. This philosophy has become an integral part of how he navigates his journey.
