Lancaster, TX- Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS) has confirmed mosquito samples that have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV), detected through routine mosquito surveillance.

Mosquito Control Treatment Schedule:
Wednesday, August 27, 9:00pm to 5:00am
Thursday, August 28, 9:00pm to 5:00am

Positive Trap Locations:
2800 block of McCormick Dr. 75134

Residents are advised to follow the "Four Ds" to reduce the risk of WNV:
DEET: Use insect repellent containing DEET.
DRESS: Wear long sleeves and pants, especially during dawn and dusk.
DRAIN: Empty standing water where mosquitoes breed.
DUSK & DAWN: Limit outdoor activities during these peak mosquito hours.

Please stay inside during spraying times. Spraying will be rescheduled if wind speeds exceed 10 mph or in case of bad weather.

We have good news and really good news!

The good news is students have a break from classes Thursday, Feb. 20, and Friday, Feb. 21. The really good news is that it's so our Dallas College staff can learn and develop to better serve our community and students through staff enrichment.

Note: Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday classes will still meet.
We return to business as usual on Monday, February 24.

Unbranded, the innovative pop-up retail and event concept from Downtown Dallas, Inc., is back for 2024, and we want you to be a part of it! This year's Unbranded will take place at SPACE at Adolphus Tower on Thursdays through Saturdays from December 5-21, featuring art exhibitions, happy hours, and more to promote your brand to the community.
