We must to be vigilant and check card readers everywhere. As well, make a list or keep a file of the different types of scams. She did exactly right, "lock" your card so no further charges are made.

It's happening so frequently, law enforcement can't keep up and will "only" take a report. After that, they may not investigate unless it's over $1,000. The consumer is responsible for trying to get their money back.
