The Kearns Family was commissioned by Will Amato to finish writing and to record a song for a documentary in the works about Bobby Furst from lyrics provided by Will. I rewrote the lyrics a few times with input from Will and I came up with a new musical approach. Twiggy Pop and I worked out the track for a few weeks before recording it. The song, The Ballad of Bobby Furst, is not officially released (and that’s probably why The Kearns Family is uncredited in the YouTube listing) and the only place you can hear the full song is at the link in comments. Happy cosmic birthday to a man who was all of the desert’s and everybody’s friend; Mister Bobby Furst (Wow!) A man with a real passion and the gumption to go for it. We miss you Bobby. RIP.
