Andrew Jackson Academy is proving what’s possible when students show up every day. The school posted a 13 percent increase in English Language Arts scores on the MCAP, gains in mathematics, and a 13 percent drop in chronic absenteeism from school year 2024 to 2025.

🌟 Today’s DFSP Professional Development was all about celebrating and honoring Hispanic Heritage! 🌟

We explored resources from the PGCPS “Power of We” initiative and discussed meaningful ways to celebrate our heritage. Our guest speakers shared powerful insights on culture, climate, family engagement, and cultural mapping.

These monthly PDs are a wonderful opportunity for PEAs to build capacity, grow together, and strengthen our impact in schools and communities. 💛✨
