Scholastic Bookfair = Parent Engagement in Action💫📚

When families join their children at the book fair, it’s more than a shopping experience or a nostalgic movement from the 90s. This strengthens the home school connection and builds a love for reading. Parents get to explore books with their children, meet staff, volunteer, and support the schools goals for literacy. The PEAs role is to be the bridge between the school, home, and local businesses. As you can see by these photos provided by PEA Luz Berna from Calverton Elementary School she and her team work together to create joyful reading moments that build stronger communities one book at a time! 📕📚💫

✨🧸 Community Love in Action! 🧥🎄

The 2nd Annual Free Pop-Up Thrift Shop at Frances Fuchs Early Childhood Center was a huge success serving over 200 families with donated clothes, toys, books, and diapers. The event provided holiday support to the community while promoting sustainability by giving items a second life. ♻️💛

A special shout-out to PEA Laura Martinez & Corinne Brumis and their dedicated team for coordinating this event with exceptional care and organization. Their work was central to making the thrift shop and resource fair possible. 🌟

Frances Fuchs ECC also extends appreciation to the staff, volunteers, and community partners who collaborated to make this event such a meaningful experience for families. 💕

The team Is planning on making a spring pop up thrift. So stay tuned!
