This is so sad. I was just watching him on “The Resident “— he played the cardiothoracic surgeon who had a Nigerian love interest. I absolutely loved the way the Nigerian doctor was portrayed in the show; it made me fall in love with both the series and his character.

Now, to hear of his passing — and in a rip current, no less — is heartbreaking. We all need to be extremely careful when we’re near the ocean. That’s why I don’t go on jet skis or venture too far out; I stay close to the shore. Rip tides are incredibly dangerous.

Stay safe out there, everyone.
