🔥 MOVEMENT WITHOUT DIRECTION IS THE FASTEST WAY TO WASTE A YEAR.
(Timely Word By Father Okwuosa – Friday 2nd December, 2025)
📖 Text Scripture:
“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12 (KJV)
📍Movement is not the same as progress.
Many people move every day, yet they don’t arrive. They are busy, yet they are barren. They are active, yet they are empty. Because movement without direction is simply wasting energy with speed. If you don’t know where you are going, you will celebrate motion while destiny is bleeding.
📍Direction is what gives meaning to labour.
In the Kingdom, God does not reward sweat—He rewards alignment. You can fast, pray, serve, and still be moving in the wrong direction. You can be “trying your best” and still be building what God never commanded. The tragedy is not being weak—the tragedy is being strong in the wrong assignment.
📍Many people don’t fail because the year is hard; they fail because they are scattered.
They wake up and follow feelings. They follow trends. They follow pressure. They follow friends. They follow social media. They follow the loudest voice. But a year is too expensive to be lived by vibes. If you don’t pick a direction, distractions will pick one for you.
✅ Israel left Egypt but wandered for 40 years because they lacked obedience and direction (Numbers 14:33–34).
✅ Nehemiah refused distractions and said, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down” (Nehemiah 6:3).
✅ Paul said, “I therefore so run, not as uncertainly… I keep under my body” because direction requires discipline (1 Corinthians 9:26–27).
📍The enemy doesn’t need to stop you—he only needs to scatter you.
When your focus is broken, your year is broken. When your priorities are confused, your results are delayed. A life without direction becomes a playground for time-wasters.
🎨 Creative Part – “The Delivery Room & The Departing Flight”
Picture a pregnant woman in a deliverance room. She is sweating. She is groaning. She is pushing. But the midwife keeps shouting: “Not yet! Wait! Now! Push!”
Because in destiny, it is not enough to have strength—you must have direction.
If she pushes without instruction, she can injure herself.
If she refuses to push when it is time, she can lose what she carried.
Now picture an airport. You are running. You are shouting. You are sweating. But the board says: “Gate Closed.”
You moved—but you moved late.
In life, some people move a lot, but they are moving in circles. Others move in the right direction, and even with small steps, they arrive.
📍A year is like a flight schedule.
If you don’t know your gate, you will be moving around the terminal and still miss your destined flight.
🔥 Let this be your cry today:
• Lord, deliver me from distracted movement.
• Give me clarity for the season I am entering.
• Help me to know what to pursue and what to refuse.
• Disconnect me from unnecessary battles and useless journeys.
• Let 2026 not be a year of motion without results.
✅ Kingdom Principle:
Direction is the womb of results.
📍When God gives you direction, He gives you reduction—He removes what is not needed so you can arrive.
🔥 MAY I REMIND YOU THAT…
1. Being busy is not proof of being fruitful.
2. Motion without mission is manipulation by distraction.
3. If you don’t decide your focus, life will decide it for you.
4. A scattered man is an easy prey.
5. Not every opportunity is your assignment.
6. The greatest waste of time is doing what God didn’t send you to do.
7. The enemy loves keeping people active but unproductive.
8. A clear direction makes “No” easy and makes “Yes” powerful.
9. The year answers only to disciplined focus.
10. You can’t multiply results where you keep changing targets.
11. It is not the size of your movement—it is the accuracy of your steps.
12. Direction turns a year into a testimony.
🔥 MAXIMS FOR LIFE –
1. Movement without direction is the fastest way to waste a year.
2. You can be running and still be wrong.
3. If you don’t know your gate, you will miss your flight.
4. The power of a year is the power of focus.
5. Distractions are destiny thieves in fine clothing.
6. The Holy Ghost does not only give power—He gives precision.
7. A man without direction will be tired without results.
8. Your “Yes” must be guarded by strong “No.”
9. Clarity is expensive—but confusion is more expensive.
10. You don’t need more activities; you need better alignment.
11. Don’t let urgency replace accuracy.
12. If God is leading you, you will arrive—even if you move quietly.
🤔 Reflection:
• What am I currently doing that has no clear Kingdom direction?
• What distractions keep pulling me from my main assignment?
• If I continue like this, will I end the year with fruits or fatigue?
📦 Life Application:
📝 This week:
1. Write down your top 3 Kingdom priorities for the next season (spiritual, family, purpose/work).
2. Identify 5 distractions you must reduce immediately (people, habits, engagements, unnecessary commitments).
3. Pray daily: “Lord, show me my gate—show me my direction.”
4. Choose one disciplined action you will repeat consistently for the next 14 days—consistency creates direction.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, I thank You because my life is not random. I refuse to waste days in aimless movement. Let Your Word and Spirit give me clear direction. Deliver me from distractions, needless battles, and busy emptiness. As I enter a new season, align my steps with Your purpose. I will not miss my gate. I will not miss my destined flight. I will push only when You say push, and I will arrive with results. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
🛎️ Declare Boldly:
“I receive divine direction! I refuse confused movement. My 2026 will not be wasted. I will not miss my gate. I will not miss my destined flight. I will push at the right time and I will arrive at the right place. I am focused, aligned, disciplined, and fruitful—by the wisdom of God!”
