Join your school PR colleagues on Thursday, June 25 at the MELG Building in Lansing for an outstanding learning opportunity that will help you "Soup up your videos" and give you a chance to hear from State Superintendent Dr. Glenn Maleyko. The session runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You'll also have the opportunity to network and share scenario-based communication strategies during this interactive learning session. Happy Monday! News recently released indicates that the Department Of Justice is extending the ADA Title II deadline by an additional year for all covered entities.

The compliance date for State and local government entities with a total population of 50,000 or more is extended from April 24, 2026, to April 26, 2027. The compliance date for entities with a total population of less than 50,000 is extended from April 26, 2027, to April 26, 2028.

We are so grateful for this additional time to ensure our digital resources are truly inclusive. Let’s use this extra year wisely! Progress, not perfection!
While the deadline has shifted, our commitment to accessibility has not. It is a marathon, not a sprint!
