On May 30th, The Village held their first Shredding Event of the year. Many residents came to safely discard their documents and to donate to the Food Pantry.

On May 31st. The HRC ended the month with their annual event, Lan-SING: Music For The Soul. Attendees heard great music, had good food from the various vendors, and enjoyed a nice hot Sunday.

This week, Coolige and Oak Glen Elementry School had their 5th Grade Day at the Patti Leach Youth Center. A lot of fun was had as they said goodbye to elementry school and are now headed to middle school.

On June 2nd, Memorial Jr High School held their graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026. Congrats to all of the graduates!

June 3rd marks the official opening of Fox Pointe for the summer. The night kicked off with Chicole then the headliners, Sixteen Candles came and rocked the stage. Come to Fox Pointe every Wednesday for the weekly FREE Concert!

May 25th, 2026 marks the 33rd Memorial Day service thrown by the Village of Lansing.
The Village took the day to commemorate the soldiers that gave their life for our country. Their sacrifice won't be forgotten.

On May 27th, Fox Pointe held a soft opening to kick off the summer Fox Pointe Season with Party Foul. Get ready for a whole summer of Wednesday night concerts at Fox Pointe!

The Lansing Chamber of Commerce held its annual Wine Walk on May 9, bringing the community together for an evening of connection, conversation, and celebration throughout downtown Lansing. Local businesses welcomed Chamber members with wine and appetizers while giving everyone a chance to network and get to know one another on a more personal level. With sunshine overhead and a lively atmosphere downtown, it was a perfect day for a memorable community event.

On May 15, the Lansing Police Department took part in the annual Cop on a Rooftop fundraiser at Dunkin'. Throughout the morning, officers connected with residents while stationed atop the rooftop, raising both funds and awareness for the upcoming Special Olympics Illinois events taking place in June. The event once again showcased the community’s generosity and support for a meaningful cause.
