The road to the Breslin is down to the final four in each division as the MHSAA Boys Basketball State Semifinals tip off tomorrow. Sixteen teams remain with their sights set on a state championship and the chance to play for a title on Saturday. Thursday’s action begins with Division 3 at noon. ATAP will take on Menominee in the first semifinal, followed by Flint New Standard Academy facing Pewamo-Westphalia for the second spot in the state final.
Later in the evening, Division 4 takes the floor starting at 5:30. Dollar Bay will meet Detroit Douglass in the first semifinal, while Concord squares off against Tri-Unity Christian in the nightcap.
The action continues Friday with Division 1 tipping off at noon. East Lansing will battle Brother Rice, while Rockford faces Auburn Hills Avondale with a championship berth on the line.
The final semifinal session begins Friday evening at 5:30 with Division 2. Freeland will take on Summit Academy North, and Detroit U Prep will meet Unity Christian to determine who advances to Saturday’s state championship games.
