Baby Tate deserved so much more than this. From being deprived of formula for over 12 hours even when crying out or “fussing” as his mother Mariah Wheaton explained to authorities, to instead having a pacifier held into his mouth with his head held down forced to lay on his mother’s chest while she had just come home after a night of drinking, Xanax, Adderall, and Zzzquil. Fingernail like markings left on Tate’s head. Mariah so inebriated on the living room couch resorted to texting and calling Tate’s Dad who was in bed just 50 feet away. An accident or negligence? Depends how you write the police reports and how much Detective Robert Wells with Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office was willing to alter, fabricate, or flat out not mention. Robert Wells went as far as sending text messages days after Tate’s death; to individuals not involved in the investigation where he would then give out private information about an on going investigation, tell these individuals private information protected by HIPPA, and even go as low as insulting Tate’s father due to his disabilities. Robert Wells put no mention in his report of the missing cameras, no mention of the Xanax or Zzzquil, did not make note of the lesions on Tate head or the period in which Tate went without food, and put misinformation/lies into the reports proven to be lies by listening to the audio interviewers vs what Wells put. CPS copied and pasted Wells reports into their own misspellings and all while falsely reporting the Safety & Risk Assessment PSM 713-11. Tate had a right to a proper investigation and still does! With all that has been gathered and discovered this past year and a half thanks to hard work and individual speaking up I now say Justice for Tate! The negligence, the corruption, the bias— all of it finally gets to come to light, be public information, and those involved held accountable.
