August's paper jam was a whole scene... a zine scene!

A huge thank you to Tristán of 𝕿𝖗𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖆́𝖓 for leading another amazing workshop and sharing the world of zines with us. And thank you to everyone who joined us and turned a little piece of paper into something completely their own. We loved seeing all your creativity packed into those tiny pages.

Until next time, keep making things, keep telling your stories, and remember... there's no wrong way to jam!

Speaking of road trips... 🚗
We recently traveled to Alice, Texas, for the Texas Tropical Trail Region Partner Event, where we learned about the history of Jim Wells County, Tejano music, visited the South Texas Museum, and discovered the story of Alonso S. Perales, one of the founders of LULAC.

Did you know these Partner Events are open to everyone? They're a great way to explore South Texas, learn local history, and connect with communities across the region.

The next Partner Event is in September in Sinton. We hope to see you there!

Last week, we hit the road to San Antonio for a special screening of A New History of Old Texas: Republic of the Rio Grande at the San Antonio Film Festival (San Antonio Film Festival )

The documentary by Brandon Seale (Brandon Seale ) was a finalist for Best Documentary, and it was such an honor to see the finished film with the people who helped bring this story to life.

Mark your calendars! You can watch it when it premieres on KLRN beginning August 25. And yes... it really is that good. (No, we're not just saying that because our Director of Operations, Andrea, makes a cameo 😉)

Congratulations to Brandon and the entire team on an incredible film. We can't wait for everyone to see it!
