📢Flock Cameras ends in Guadalupe County Texas📢
Guadalupe County commissioners have approved ending the county’s contract with Flock Safety, following growing public privacy concerns , & the vandalism of multiple automated license plate reader cameras ( flock).
The cost of the Flock camera alone is roughly around $800 & $2,500 to $7,000 depending on the extent of damage to solar panels, batteries, and specialized hardware.
Sheriff Joshua Ray stated that he does not want taxpayer money spent replacing equipment that could be damaged again. Ending the contract is expected to cost the county about $8,500, while Ray said the move could save the county at least $48,500.
