Cola Blanca Big Buck Contest The Premier Deer Hunting Contest of South Texas! Hosted each October - February with ALL CATEGORIES for both Adults and Youth, Texas and Mexico whitetail!

Enter your buck today and get a chance at the coveted BRONZE TROPHY Over the last 25 years, the Cola Blanca Big Buck Contest has risen to become one of the best recognized hunting contests in the state. With support of Webb County and the City of Laredo, members of the Laredo Chamber's Cola Blanca Committee travel across the state to participate in hunting trade shows and promotional events. Cola

Blanca ads appear regularly in Texas and regional magazines and television broadcasts. The success of Cola Blanca can only be rated by the growing number of registrations recorded annually by the Laredo Chamber of Commerce. Contest participants hail from different parts of the state and from areas of the country as distant as the states of New York and Minnesota. Ranch leases, retail stores, hunting stores, outfitters, hotels, restaurants, even welding shops, all benefit from the economic impact generated by local and out of town hunting enthusiasts. It's and the final one before Saint Nick comes down the chimney, so make sure you DREAM of a white Christmas this weekend while you're out in the deer blind.... because we definitely WON'T be having one in Texas 🤣🔥

What we WILL be having is some more Youngsters like little Canyon Krumrey and cool cats 😎like Tyson Rheinschmidt showing off their great harvests that are going straight on the contest board! Thanks to Mesquite Creek Taxidermy and Andy Watson (mobile scorer) for scoring these two entries!

"Cowboy Butter Venison Backstrap — Rustic, Flavorful & Easy to Make 🍽️

Ingredients:

2 lb (approx. 900 g) venison backstrap (cleaned & trimmed) 🦌🍖
4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened 🧈
2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped 🌿
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or ½ tsp dried thyme) 🌱

Keeping it in the YOUTH category, these two young men are telling all their friends at school about these bucks this week after taking two beautiful South Texas bucks last week! Congrats to William Truxaw & Carter Hilton (L to R) on successfully laying down their Duval and Webb County (respectively) bucks! Little Will's buck was scored by our friends at and Carter's by our mobile scorer, Andy Garcia!
