A man who attended Naples PrideFest claiming he wanted to expose “grooming” has now been arrested for allegedly filming people inside a public restroom during the event 👀

And yes… people immediately noticed the irony.

According to Florida authorities, 61-year-old Andrew Sheets allegedly entered the Pride event wearing a body camera and later uploaded footage online that included men using urinals without their knowledge.

Police say undercover deputies eventually appeared in the footage themselves.

Authorities later charged Sheets with digital video voyeurism and distribution.
The story gets even stranger from there.

Investigators say Sheets initially attempted to enter PrideFest while carrying a handgun before security turned him away.

According to the arrest report, he later returned and allegedly retrieved an AR-15-style rifle from his vehicle before continuing to film around the event.

Throughout all of this, Sheets reportedly claimed he was trying to document so-called “grooming” at Pride.
Which is why Naples Pride’s public response hit so hard.

“The irony is difficult to ignore,” organizers said in a statement after the arrest.
And honestly, that line says almost everything.

Because one of the oldest anti-LGBTQ talking points is accusing q***r people of being predators.

Yet here, police allege the person secretly recording strangers in a bathroom was the man making those accusations in the first place.

That disconnect is exactly why so many people are talking about this story.

One of Texas’s largest cities has formally recognized transgender history for the first time.

The San Antonio City Council approved a resolution recognizing this week, May 4 through 10, as Trans+ History Week.

“At a moment when both our state and country are systematically trying to push trans people out of public life, erase our stories, and outright deny our existence, this proclamation recognizing Trans History Week is a beacon to trans people in San Antonio and across Texas,” said Naveen Farrani, a spokesperson for Equality Texas, in a statement to the San Antonio Report.
