A deadly police shooting in Prince George’s County is now under investigation by the Maryland Office of the Attorney General.

Prince George’s County Police say officers were following two vehicles late Friday night when both turned onto Reamy Drive. According to police, one of the vehicles drove through a yard and toward officers, prompting an officer to fire their weapon and strike the driver. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

CTV News spoke with a neighbor who says he heard three gunshots and ran outside to see what was happening.

The Maryland Office of the Attorney General is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal encounter.

The family of D.C. go-go legend Chuck Brown has pulled its support from the Chuck Brown Day celebration at Fort Dupont Park.

The family says its decision stems from concerns involving D.C. Parks and Recreation, raising questions surrounding the celebration honoring the “Godfather of Go-Go” and his lasting musical legacy in the District.

Prince George’s County Police say they shot a man they say was driving towards officers.

The incident came as a shock to those who live in the neighborhood.
