On Thursday, June 12, the class of 2025 graduated in warm weather and high spirits. The seniors rushed up the hill beside the art building to look out at a crowd of proud family members and friends, as the amphitheater filled with red gowns and decorated graduation caps. Associated Student Body president, Charlotte Lacy, gave the welcome remarks, followed by the national anthem performed by Madi Rand. Julia Laury, the Senior Class president introduced the senior class flag designed by Sara Hernandez, which will now wave alongside the other graduated classes’ flags in future graduations. “You’re Gonna Go Far,” performed by advanced performance workshop students, by Noah Kahan segued into a speech by Blake Oberbauer and Katelyn Van Dusesn, and then the memories reflection portion of the event. A group of seniors went through monumental moments in each of their four years, like being the last grade to graduate from Redwood that was impacted directly by Covid-19. “Home” by Edward Sharpe followed, and Elon Harris then performed a powerful poem titled “A Call to Arms!” Diplomas were handed out, as cheers and claps followed each name. When the ceremony ended, the seniors exchanged hugs and took pictures as they left the Redwood campus for one last time as students, returning in the future as alumni.

Snapshot: Taking place over two days, the APW spring concert was a massive success amongst Redwood students, alumni, and teachers alike. Both performances spanned more than 2 hours each, and a total of more than 35 songs were performed.

Slide 1: On the first night of the performance, seniors Ally Woodruff and Taylor Allen participate in a seven person performance featuring just a piano and their vocals for a cover of the Beatles song “Because”.

Snapshot: Ahead of the June 3 Tamalpais Union High School District (TUHSD) board meeting, news outlets from across Marin County gathered in the east lot of Tamalpais High School to cover growing concerns over the potential loss of funding for the Black Student Success Team (BSST) and the HUB, where the board was divided on whether to renew support. Tamalpais High School student Auvin Cole spoke with KRON4 prior to the meeting to share his perspective. Meeting minutes are available on the TUHSD website.
