Another busy and productive day on the campaign trail.

The day started at Magnum Shooting Center for a rally supporting Representative Ava Flanell as she seeks re-election. It was great to join members of the Colorado State Shooting Association, fellow candidates, elected officials, supporters, and nationally known Second Amendment influencer Garand Thumb, who came out to show their support. Strong conservative leadership matters, and it is always encouraging to see so many people willing to get involved and help move Colorado in the right direction.

From there, it was off to Teller County for the Big Tent Event and Lincoln Day Dinner. In true Teller County fashion, we literally gave stump speeches while literally standing on a stump carved in the shape of Abraham Lincoln's head.

Events like these are an opportunity to support fellow candidates, meet with constituents, hear directly from voters, and discuss the issues that matter most to our communities. From affordability and public safety to protecting our freedoms and preserving local control, there is a lot of work ahead, but there is also a lot of optimism about Colorado's future.

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared their thoughts, and continues to be involved in the process. Conversations like these are what make our communities stronger.

Today the Colorado State Shooting Association and the Colorado Federal Fi****ms Licensee Association filed a lawsuit against the state and the violation of your 2nd and 4th amendment rights .

My statement

Fellow Coloradans, good afternoon.
My name is Teddy Collins. I am a board member of the Colorado State Shooting Association, Vice President of the Colorado Federal Fi****ms Licensees Association, a licensed Federal Fi****ms Licensee, owner of Spartan Defense in Colorado Springs, and the Republican candidate for Colorado Senate District 4.

I am stepping up because our constitutional rights are under relentless attack, and it is time for fighters who will actually defend them.
Today, right here inside Senator Tom Sullivan's own district, the Colorado State Shooting Association and the Colorado Federal Fi****ms Licensees Association are filing suit against HB26-1126.

This law would allow government agents to search firearm purchase records in Colorado without a warrant, without probable cause, and without even stating a reason. It opens the door to warrantless searches and unequal treatment under the law, violating the Fourth Amendment rights of law abiding Coloradans and the businesses that serve them.
While supporters claim this bill improves public safety, it does nothing to stop criminals who ignore the law. Instead, it burdens the very people and businesses that follow every rule. Colorado's licensed fi****ms dealers operate under some of the strictest federal oversight in the country. They deserve the same constitutional protections as every other American.

CSSA and CFFLA fought this bill every step of the way. We testified, organized, educated lawmakers, and pushed back hard. Yet the one party machine forced it through anyway.
That is exactly why Colorado needs more Republicans in the legislature. We need elected officials willing to stop unconstitutional bills before they become law instead of forcing taxpayers to fund endless lawsuits that could have been avoided.

Senator Sullivan, your temper tantrums and aggression against fellow members of both parties on the Senate floor are notorious, but they do not hide the truth. You continue pushing one reckless gun control bill after another, knowing full well they face serious constitutional challenges. You have become so obsessed with attacking law abiding gun owners that you have effectively turned yourself into a full time job creator for attorneys.

Enough is enough.

Stop wasting Colorado taxpayer dollars on failed vendettas against the Second Amendment and the constitutional rights of the citizens you were elected to represent.

CFFLA is joining this lawsuit to defend the rights of Colorado's licensed fi****ms dealers. CSSA is leading this fight to defend the rights of Colorado gun owners. Together, we are standing up for every law abiding citizen whose rights are threatened by this unconstitutional overreach.

I look forward to working with your opponent, Danielle Lammon, after she defeats you in November. We are filing this lawsuit today in your backyard, and we are not going anywhere until these unconstitutional attacks end.

Let's get to work.

Excited to announce that I’ve received the endorsement of the Colorado Chamber of Commerce!

This is one of the most meaningful and significant endorsements I can earn especially as a small business owner who has spent years building and growing a company right here in Colorado.

I’m truly honored to have the support of the Chamber as we work together with businesses of every size and industry across our state to keep Colorado open for business, competitive, and opportunity-rich.

Colorado's Broken Priorities Are Creating Victims
And I'm Fighting to Fix It.
As a candidate for State Senate District 4 and a Colorado small business owner who has seen the damage firsthand, I know exactly how our state's soft-on-crime policies and backwards prison priorities are hurting real people.

Criminals know exactly how this works. They deliberately target and use minors because the system keeps letting them out due to lack of bed space. In my situation, it was three minors and one adult getaway driver. They stole someone's car, crashed it straight through my store, caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage, stole what they could, and faced minimal consequences. We had to pay out of pocket while dealing with the trauma. The car owner was victimized too. This is happening to families and small businesses all across Colorado because our legislators refuse to get tough on crime.

Our correctional facilities are in crisis: dangerously understaffed and underpaid officers dealing with ratios as high as one guard for every 150-200 inmates. These dedicated professionals are forced to act as mental health workers on top of everything else because Colorado has essentially one state mental health institution for criminal offenders with wait times over a year just to get treatment. We need more beds, better staffing, proper pay, and facility expansions.
Yet instead of addressing these real problems, the state budgeted $5.3 million for gender-confirming surgeries for transgender inmates, plus millions more for special housing units. This is unacceptable. Prisons should focus on public safety, accountability, punishment, and keeping dangerous offenders off our streets not wasting taxpayer dollars on elective procedures while victims suffer and officers burn out.

Cases like El Paso County prove the point: a biological male identifying as a woman (intact male) was housed per policy, and now Darlene Griffith is suing the county. These ideological policies create chaos, safety risks, and lawsuits instead of solutions.

As your next State Senator, I will fight to end the revolving door for repeat offenders, support our correctional officers, expand bed space, invest in real mental health solutions, and stop diverting millions to gender experiments while small businesses and families pay the price.
Visit collinsforcolorado.com to learn more about my campaign, donate, and join the fight for common-sense priorities in District 4.

Colorado enough is enough. No more victims. No more soft-on-crime policies. Let's put public safety first.

Share if you agree.

On this Memorial Day, we pause with deep gratitude to honor the profound sacrifices of our veterans and the fallen heroes who gave their lives so that this Republic could endure.

We remember the brave Americans who answered the call and fought with unbreakable resolve from Lexington and Concord, to the bloody Battle of Gettysburg, to the beaches of Normandy, from the jungles of Southeast Asia and the Pacific to the sands of the Middle East. They stood against the authority of mad monarchs, the oppression of radical ideologies, the genocide of fascism, and the soul crushing tyranny of socialism, all forms of authoristism and the unjust. They fought so that all men might be free defending this Republic, our Constitution, and the precious freedoms we cherish today. Their courage and selflessness preserved the blessings of liberty for all generations that followed. We owe them a debt that can never be fully repaid.

As I wake up every morning on my ranch, I am welcomed by this view of real Americana Colorado’s Purple Mountain Majesties rising against endless skies, rugged peaks, open lands, and the independent spirit of the West. This is the iconic vision of our Republic that our veterans fought so valiantly to protect and preserve. Their sacrifices remind us of what truly matters.

Yet today, Colorado has strayed from that vision. Through years of state legislative and executive mismanagement with one-party control, we’ve seen big government overreach, rising taxes and costs, and policies that erode the values, liberties, and way of life our service members defended. Too many families feel the weight of what has been lost in our Colorado spirit of self-reliance and liberty.

On this Memorial Day, we recommit ourselves to honoring their legacy by remaining worthy of the Republic they defended with their last full measure of devotion. With even an ounce of the courage and resolve our veterans showed on the battlefield, we can bring back what has been lost and restore this Republic’s promise right here in Colorado.

Memorial Day reminds us of that and gives us hope for the future so many fought for a renewed Colorado where liberty flourishes, families prosper, businesses thrive, and the spirit of freedom burns bright once again.

Let us honor the fallen not just with words, but with grateful hearts and steadfast action to secure the future they fought for.

May God bless our veterans, our fallen warriors, their families, the United States of America, this exceptional Republic we are proud to call home and the great state of Colorado.

A blessed Memorial Day to you and your loved ones. Remember those that gave all so you could be here today enjoying this day of rest and remembrance. Your liberties came at the cost of their sacrifices and courage.

I truly believe our best days are truly ahead of us.

Colorado families and small businesses are under immense pressure and I have been sounding the alarm since Day 1 of this campaign. Skyrocketing living costs, crushing regulations, unaffordable housing, rising crime, government waste, and policies that punish job creators instead of empowering them.

These problems hit especially hard right here in State Senate District 4 which spans growing communities in Douglas County as well Fremont, Park, Lake, Custer, Jefferson, Chaffee and Teller Counties. In the suburban and foothill communities of Douglas County explosive growth brings opportunity but also drives up housing prices that push working families out, clogs our roads with traffic, and strains our great schools.

In Fremont, Teller and Lake counties we see different pressures where historic mining towns and rural economies face threats from overregulation while trying to expand and create sustainable high wage jobs. We feel the statewide ripple effects too including serious threats to our historic mining industry in places like Teller Countys Cripple Creek district where high wage jobs, rural economies, and critical mineral production for national security are at risk.

Colorado has become one of the most unfriendly states in the nation for small businesses. We are now the sixth most regulated state in the entire nation with over 205,000 state level regulatory restrictions. That massive burden of red tape is driving up costs, killing jobs, chasing opportunity away, and making it harder than ever for small business owners to succeed, hire, and grow right here in Colorado.

Colorado used to be a national leader as an energy and mining powerhouse producing abundant, affordable resources that kept families warm through our brutal winters and supported thousands of good paying jobs. Now, thanks to Governor Polis and one party Democrat control ramming through mountains of regulations and forced phase outs of reliable natural gas and coal, we are falling behind fast. Families in District 4 are struggling with spiking energy bills no one should have to choose between heating their home in a Colorado winter and putting food on the table. That is not inconvenience it is dangerous.

I am all for renewables where they make real economic sense, but we must use what actually works: an all of the above strategy that unleashes our natural resources, protects mining jobs, and puts affordability and families first.

As your next State Senator for District 4, here is how we fix it:

Slash the red tape not with a scapel but a chainsaw. Cut Colorados crushing regulatory burden, we are sixth worst in the nation, by streamlining permitting, reforming licensing, and eliminating excessive, duplicative rules that strangle small businesses, energy producers, and miners.

Unleash our energy and mineral potential. Stop the insane phase out of reliable natural gas and coal. Protect and grow mining communities and critical minerals production that powers jobs and security.
Defend TABOR and block new taxes, hidden fees, and mandates that hurt your wallet.

Fix housing and smart growth. Get government out of the way so we can build more affordably while preserving quality of life in District 4.

Restore law and order. Hold violent criminals accountable and keep our families and schools safe.

Audit government waste with a state level DOGE for real accountability and lower costs. Because with the amount of tax revenue Colorado brings in it shouldn't be possible to run into a 1.5 billion dollar deficit without gross incompetence or massive fraud.

None of this agenda becomes reality without real change in Denver. That is why it is time to flip the Colorado Senate RED this November! it is possible, and it is essential, if we want to stop the influx of taxes, red tape and regulations that are killing our state. Also essential for who ever the next governor is to have either ally or check on their power.

We have got strong Republican fighters in key flippable seats who need your support we need 6 to flip the Senate and these are the races its possible to do that, with your support. We are also one away from a super minority if the left manages to flip a seat such as mine or another incumbent R. so support the holds as well.

Dana Charles for Senate District 3
Against Nick Hinrichsen

Levon Stilson for Senate District 11
Against Tony Exum

Rich Mancuso for Senate District 20
Against Sheila Leider

Danielle Shannon Lammon for Senate District 27 against Tom Sullivan

Rob Woodward for Senate District 15 against Janice Marchman

Corey Marshall for Senate District 8 against Dylan Roberts .

SD 21 is also a flippable seat with real potential but unfortunately the current candidate has faced recent controversy and has not yet stepped aside to allow a strong replacement to be appointed. We need clear leadership there to secure that flip as well.

There are more potential flips but these are top targets. I need your help to win District 4, and they need your help to win theirs against the Democrat money machine. Even if they are not in your backyard, volunteer, donate, share their message, and vote like our state depends on it because it does.

We take Colorado back one seat at a time. Let us cut the red tape, lower costs, unleash opportunity for small businesses, and restore the Colorado Dream for every family and business.

🚨 Jeffco Kids Deserve Better This is UNACCEPTABLE. 🚨

As a father and stakeholder, I am beyond fed up with the failures coming out of Jefferson County Public Schools.

We have had EIGHT staff members arrested in just the last couple of years for sexual misconduct and grooming of our children. A school board member stood up after the shooting at Evergreen High School and told parents that safety is actually a privilege, not a right. And now we learn the district received a third party safety audit a full month before the Evergreen shooting that flagged 153 imminent threats including a hit list with around 15 names yet they suppressed it and never released it to the public or properly shared it with law enforcement. On top of that we have seen a superintendent resign amid a no confidence vote, massive budget shortfalls, and federal Title IX violations.

This is why our kids are not safe. This is why parents live in fear. The failures in this district run deep and the entire school board should resign.
Our kids are not political pawns. They are not experiments for ideology. They deserve to be protected from BOTH physical threats sexual predators in our schools, ignored safety warnings, and failing security policies AND psychological threats confusing gender policies that put biological reality second and leave parents in the dark.
This is happening right here in our own backyards in Lakewood, Golden, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Evergreen and every community in Senate District 4.

I myself experienced this late last year when my daughters had a threat against their school. It is the main reason I decided to step up and file for office to protect not only my own children but your children as well. As a father of two young daughters and a brand new son, and as a true stakeholder in this fight, I know exactly how this feels and I do not want any other parent to ever have to feel this way. No family should have to send their child to school wondering if they are going to come home that day.

When situations like this occur, all the other side wants to do is push more gun control. But violence with fi****ms is not the cause it is a symptom. We have to attack the head, not the limbs. The real causes are soft targets in our schools, indoctrinating our children, and allowing mental illness instead of actually helping and treating it.
My good friend and predecessor Senator Mark Baisley ran legislation this session specifically on the teachers who have sexually assaulted children or had serious misconduct issues to create a registry that can be passed between school districts. That failed on a party line vote. Unfortunately the Democrats succumbed to the teachers union. Every single person that testified in favor of it except for the teachers union lobbyist who said that it would create a barrier for teachers to get in. Those are the type of people that we do not want around our children, are predators.

I am running for State Senate to fight for real solutions: stronger background checks for school employees, strong school security measures that actually work, parental rights laws with teeth, and real accountability for school boards that treat our children like social experiments instead of protecting them like the precious gifts they are. It is time to elect competent people to protect our children and to run legislation. I plan on writing legislation to fix exactly this.

Jeffco families you are not alone. I hear you. I stand with you. And I will take this fight to the Colorado State Senate on Day One. We do not need more politicians who just talk about the problem we need a legislator who will actually do something about it.
If you have an issue at any school in Jeffco, in Senate District 4, or anywhere in the state, reach out. I will help redirect you to the right person who can assist or to your representative or state senator, and I will help where I can as well.

If you are as disgusted as I am, share this post, tag a friend in Jeffco, and join the movement to put parents and kids FIRST again.

🚨 Great news, Colorado! The Barrel Bill is Officially DEAD! 🇺🇸🔫
For those who haven’t heard yet, SB26-043 the Barrel Bill has been killed and will not become law. This dangerous legislation would have forced every barrel sale or transfer through an FFL dealer, created heavy 5+ year record-keeping requirements, banned private transfers, added new criminal penalties, and placed massive burdens on law-abiding gun owners, FFLs, and small businesses across the state. It’s a huge victory for the Second Amendment and common sense in Colorado.
This bill is dead because you showed up and fought hard. Thank you to every single Coloradan who called, emailed, lobbied at the Capitol, and refused to stay silent. Your tireless grassroots pressure secured the critical “no” votes and stopped this bill in its tracks

Special thanks to House Minority Leader Jarvis Caldwell for your strong leadership and relentless work behind the scenes to get this legislation killed. Your dedication made a real difference.
Huge gratitude to Representative Ava Flanell for your fierce advocacy, amendments, and tireless efforts fighting this and other gun control measures every step of the way.
We also want to recognize the many House Republicans who stood firm in committee and on the floor, and the Senate Republicans who led the opposition and spoke out strongly against treating a simple firearm barrel like a fully regulated firearm.
This would have been a disaster for Colorado gun owners and FFLs. Thanks to all of you, we protected responsible gun ownership, prevented unnecessary regulations, and pushed back against the incremental erosion of our rights.
We won this one together let’s keep the momentum going. Stay engaged, stay informed, and keep fighting for our constitutional freedoms!
A small victory but a much needed one thank you to all that called the gov and the legislative members and made this possible

Somebody told me the other day, “Teddy, you’re all over the place, I see you everywhere. One of these days we’re gonna have to nail your feet to the floor so you stop moving so fast and can get some r&r.”

I laughed and told them, “I’m like a shark. If I stop moving, I stop breathing.” 🦈

Yesterday was another great example of that. After several meetings with constituents and industry leaders, I had the opportunity to attend the gubernatorial candidate debate at North Star Academy.

It was good hearing different perspectives, policy ideas, and conversations about the important issues facing our state and local communities. Events like this matter because they give voters the opportunity to hear directly from the people asking for their support and leadership.

One thing I’ve learned traveling across District 4 is that people want leaders who show up. Senate District 4 is one of the largest geographical districts in the state, and I believe every community deserves to be heard and represented. That means putting miles on the truck, showing up to meetings and events, listening to concerns, and having real conversations with the people who call this district home.

I appreciate everyone who helped organize all these events and everyone who showed up to stay informed and engaged. Colorado works best when people stay involved, ask questions, and participate in the process.

I’m looking forward to future events, more conversations across Senate District 4, and continuing to meet with people throughout our communities about the future of Colorado.
Hope to see you all at the Protect Kids Colorado Banquet tonight.

At the Senate today:
Lawmakers advanced fines up to $1000 per offense for businesses that hand out single use items such as forks , plates, and cups without being asked…

…while using those same items themselves during the session and litterly while the bill was being debated and amended.....

If it’s important enough to regulate, it should be important enough to model.

These are the most important pressing issues for Colorado it seems 👀 🫩

Small business especially the restraunt industry is already under significant strain of red tape and regulations. The current Democrat Senate leaderships solution...pile on more and create the Garnish Gestapo
