Over the past few years, the impacts of climate change are becoming more obvious for everyone to see and more impactful. Fires, floods, drought, increased storms, ice caps melting, changing ocean currents, desertification, crop failure are just a few of the things we are seeing all around the world, disproportionately impacting the poorest in the world. We can still limit the amount of warming to avoid the most catastrophic impacts, but time is running out, and governments are dragging their feet im committing to the necessary action.
Greenpeace is a movement of people who are passionate about defending the natural world from destruction. Their vision is a greener, healthier and more peaceful planet, one that can sustain life for generations to come. They are completely independent, leaving them free to confront governments and corporations responsible for the destruction of the natural world. Their mission is to promote radical changes and new solutions to the ways we live on this planet so that we can all call it home for generations to come.
On slide 3, you can see a small sample of greenpeace's monumental victories, we want to help them add to that list.
