Hi Wolves,
After we launched the Wolfettes collection on February 14, we started our rebrand from Wall Street Wolves to the Wolfverse.
Main reason for the rebrand-
The "Wall Street Wolves" name and brand was very limiting- it limited our project to a particular theme from the movie Wolf of Wall St.
We are much bigger than that in purpose and scope.
The Wolfverse represents the entirety of our project, from the Wolves, to the Wolfettes, to the Pups, and other future collections.
The reason we changed the name when we did:
We have had the Wolfverse in our minds since the beginning of this project, and the rebrand originally wasn't going to come until summer 2022.
However, about a month ago, we recieved a cease-and-desist notice from Jordan Belfort's lawyer.
We recieved the notice in the form of LinkedIn messages to each of the main team members. Whilst a formal cease-and-desist must be written on paper and mailed, we took this as a fair warning and knew it was time to migrate to the Wolfverse. Luckily, changing the name and taking down some social media posts was enough to have Jordan's lawyer leave us be.
So then... I say with great pleasure, WE'RE NOT F*CKING LEAVING!!!!!
This is just the beginning of our project's revamp. We are here to stay.
Now, obviously we don't want to leave you guys out of the action, but we needed to make sure the waters were calm before sharing the ceast-and-desist notice with you all.
