Thanks to the connection made at AUTHOR NATION and Reader Nation with the amazing bookstore owner of Studio Moonfall, Studio Moonfall now carries my publishing imprint's (PTP Press) title, The Price We Pay.

Anyone living in Kenosha, WI, please stop in for this 5-time award-winning novel. If you know someone who lives in the area, please pass this information on to them.

The Price We Pay has been coined as the "To Kill a Mockingbird of the 21st Century." It truly is something you have to experience for yourself. And with the holidays coming up, you can give this experience to anyone on your shopping list . . . especially young adults and new adults. Let somebody else get them gadgets; you get them knowledge!

As of late you've seen PTP President, Joylynn M. Ross, mentioning the author-publisher relationship; how they must partner in creating customer value outside of the book reading experience. She shared receipts on how Path To Publishing's traditional publishing imprint, PTP Press, did just that by creating and promoting a companion course, workshop, and training program for our inaugural title, The Price We Pay, called B.E. S.E.E.N. Bias Education & Techniques program, as well as putting together a paid and free fan club for the author to invite her reading fans to join so that she can build, grow, and nurture her relationship with them. You can learn more about that by visiting www.ptppress.com.

So, what did the author do to create added customer value to her book? So glad you asked. Because, in our opinion, she created something absolutely genius! Which is a literary inspired cosmetic line called Library of Colors.

It includes the E-Book eyeshadow pallet of orange hues and one of n**e hues, a pair of Audio Book lashes, the 3-in-1 E-Reader contour finisher, lipliner, and eyeshadow, topped off with the Library of Colors tote.

When paired with the 5-time award-winning novel, The Price We Pay, it makes up the Beauty and the Book gift set.

"I've been a Mary Kay cosmetics only girl my entire life," states Joylynn, "up until a few years ago when I started cheating on Mary with a few Mac (cosmetics) products. But just this year it became a th*****me when I started wearing Library of Colors. And let me tell you that it more than holds a candle to Mary and Mac. It burns, baby, burns! I'm talking it doesn't fade. You don't need a touch up. It stays popping until you wash it off. And the color pallets work for EVERY. SINGLE. COMPLEXION."

So, not only did we partner to build companion products, but they are quality products. And on top of that, the foundation of it all is a damn good book. Because at the end of the day, no matter how much blood, sweat, tears, efforts, and money you put into the success of a book, the true test of time is whether the content is equal in quality. And the Price We Pay is a classic; coined the To Kill a Mockingbird of the 21st Century!

But, of course, we're biased (pun intended). So, you've gotta read it to believe it. Get your copy now wherever fine books are sold or directly from the PTPpress.com website.

PTP Press takes fiction and leverages it into messages, movements, programs, training, and other companion components to show the impact a fiction book can have - which is the same, if not more, than that of a non-fiction book.

For example, we took The Price We Pay by Nikki T. Anthony (a 2024 Silver IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards winner) and built the B.E. S.E.E.N. Bias Education & Training program around it. It leverages fiction to show people the impact of their biases (and the biases of others) and techniques for identifying, addressing, challenging, and overcoming (harmful) biases.

We've created study guides, workbooks, and even a cookbook supporting and complementing this fiction work. Some of our programs have attracted corporations, government agencies, banks, and non-profits.

But what I feel was a genius move was when the author played on our B.E. S.E.E.N. program to being seen - literally - wearing her literary inspired beauty products. Pair that with the book and you have her Beauty & the Book gift set.

Join us this Saturday, March 8, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the City of the World Art Gallery inside Meadows Mall located at 4300 Meadows Lane, Ste. 2270 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

You already know the authors who work with us don't do boring "author readings" or "book signings"; we do experiences! So, come experience an amazing time while hearing how Nikki's 5-time award-winning book, The Price We Pay, helped inspire the Library of Colors cosmetic line. Both her book and products will be available for purchase.

You will also have the opportunity to be our feature model for the day with a free make-up application and mini photo shoot with the author.

Our award-winning author Nikki T. Anthony is in the running for Entrepreneur of Impact 2025 and she needs your help to make it to the next round.

With the $25,000 award money, Nikki intends to empower young readers through admission free writing workshops inspired by her social impact novel The Price We Pay. The workshops will provide a creative space for participants to rewrite chapters from their perspective, exploring their own biases and discovering how storytelling can inspire change.

This initiative would ensure accessibility for all, fostering critical conversations, and empowering youth to drive positive social impact.

She's bacccckkkkk!

Well, she's not here yet, but she's coming back.

The Queen of Storytelling Nikki T. Anthony has decided to add the fabulous to her B.E. S.E.E.N. tour where she will be hosting an experience - not just a boring "book signing" or "author reading" - but an experience at all three of her stops here in Vegas.

Because no two stops will be the same, the way our elders used to follow their favorite music artists' tour dates, you can follow literary artist Nikki T. Anthony's tour dates.

First stop: March 6th Multicultural Bookstore Las Vegas (2027 Revere St, Las Vegas, NV 89106) 6-8 p.m. Where we invite young adults, new adults, and older adults from all backgrounds to join us in discussing how we use Nikki's novel, The Price We Pay, as a "novel" approach to having difficult, challenging, and uncomfortable conversations when it comes to bias, DEI, and race relations. This is a mini town hall, must show up community event. You can walk away with far more than a copy of the author's book.

Second stop: March 8th Copper Cat Books (1570 W Horizon Ridge Pkwy STE 170, Henderson, NV 89012) 12-3 p.m. We invite authors and publishers to discuss how they can turn books into a moving message, aka movement, regardless of the genre. It will almost be like a mini-marketing mastermind. Readers, this is your opportunity to get some behind the scenes intel on what type of thought goes into the writing of the book outside of just writing a great book. You'll walk away with a much better appreciation for your favorite literary artists and the writings they pen.

Thirds stop: March 8th City of the World Art Gallery (Meadows Mall 4300 Meadows Ln Suite 2270, Las Vegas, NV 89107) 5-8 p.m. Experience the author's literary inspired cosmetic line and your chance to win a real time make-up application demonstration. Of course, we'll be discussing the book, reading an excerpt or two, and will even have autographed copies for you to purchase.

But at Path To Publishing and PTP Press literary events, the author nor the book are ever the hero of the story . . . it's you! And we can't wait to see you.

No RSVP needed. Just show up ready to do wayyyyy more than listen to an author talk about their book, read from their book, or watch them autograph a book.

P.S. Attend all three Vegas tour stops and receive a special gift.

Let the aunties and uncles buy the kids toys and gadgets. You get them what they are depending on you to equip and empower them with: the gift of wisdom, knowledge, literacy. Life lessons that can help them navigate and survive this world of diversity and inequality. The gift of learning how to have difficult, uncomfortable, and challenging conversations without - as the young folks would put it - popping off. Something that can change the trajectory of their life in the school, as well as save their life on the streets.

The award-winning novel The Price We Pay by Nikki T. Anthony is that gift. https://ptppress.com/books/

Be warned that the main character, Zenetta Henchman, may not be liked by many due to her flippant mouth and self-centered motives when it comes to anything she sees as an injustice in her home, school, and in the streets. For an author, that's scary because for some readers, if they don't like the main character, they won't like the book.

But guess what?

It's not always about creating characters who the reader will like. Sometimes it's about creating characters like the reader. Sometimes it makes a person feel a certain kind of way when they see someone who reflects them. When they see someone demonstrating their own actions (of past or present) in the pages they are reading. After all, the truth is a double-edged sword. The truth is going to hurt and offend you initially, but then, my friend, it's going to set you free.

So free that child in your life you see as a mentee, protege, someone who looks up to you, you want to make proud of you, and who you should be setting an example for. Put your money where your mouth is - literally - by purchasing a copy of The Price We Pay by Nikki T. Anthony - and prove to them that spending hours reading a book trumps hours on a gadget.

If your H.E.A.R.T. (humanity/humility, empathy, authenticity, relatability, and trustworthiness) for those youth that you may not even know moves you to do so, please purchase copies to be donated to local high schools without libraries, Boys and Girls youth clubs and organizations, or to simply be handed out on the streets to a random youth just hanging out on the corner. We got you! And God's got us. So, let's do this.
