To celebrate Psycho Waxx’s pride and joy, Psychlona’s new album, Palo Verde, we’re hosting a listening party on August 20th, Saturday at Psycho Las Vegas between 5:30 and 7:00pm at the Capitol Bar inside ZOUK Nightclub and all are invited. Did we mention it will have an open bar? A vision and sound as limitless as Psychlona ought to be appreciated with a bar tab of equal limitlessness. So, whatever your poison, ante and drink up to your heart’s delight as you enjoy the sweet, desert rock sounds of Psychlona’s “Palo Verde” in the lap of Las Vegas luxury. All are welcomed at a first come, first serve basis. Invited guests get VIP entry. DJ Mikey Longhair will be spinning Psychlona and other like-minded tunes and as soon as the listening party wraps, Psychlona will be performing live at Famous Foods 7:25-8:25pm just a short walk away. The final installment in our Löve Me Förever: A Tribute to Motörhead saga involves a bevy of heavy metal all-stars putting the final touches upon the Ace of Spades and sealing the deal with snake bite vocals that send a shiver down your spine. None other than Pantera’s Phil Anselmo kicks us off with his deep, dark Southern molasses crooning. The torch then gets passed in this hellish duet to Dwid Hellion, the grizzly, howling voice of legendary Cleveland hardcore band, Integrity. As long as Psycho Waxx exists, we will do our part to keep the legacy of Lemmy Kilmister alive. Leave it to Exhorder to bring such grit and thunder to a cover that it sheds new meaning onto a Motörhead classic. Their version of “Sacrifice” is so heavy, the lyrics of unreciprocated love from an angry God to a violent humanity never sounded so biblical.
