🥩 Oven-Roasted Layered Beef with Potatoes & Onions

Ingredients:

2.5 lbs beef steak or roast (flank, rump, or shoulder)

2 potatoes, thinly sliced

2 onions, sliced into rings

3 tbsp garlic butter or plain butter

Salt and black pepper to taste

Olive oil (optional)

Instructions:

Prep the Layers:
In a baking dish, make a bed with onion rings.
Add a layer of thinly sliced potatoes. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.

Season the Beef:
Place the beef on top. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Add garlic butter on top of the meat.

Optional Tip:
Score the meat slightly so the flavors soak in better.

Cover & Roast:
Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the meat is tender and potatoes are cooked.

Uncover & Brown:
Remove foil and bake for an extra 15–20 minutes to brown the top.

Serve:
Slice and serve with the roasted onions and potatoes. Perfect for family meals!
