Metallica – “Enter Sandman” Live in Moscow (1991) 🤘

On September 28, 1991, Metallica delivered one of the most legendary performances in rock history when they played “Enter Sandman” at the Monsters of Rock festival in Moscow.

Held just months before the collapse of the Soviet Union, the concert drew an estimated crowd of hundreds of thousands—often reported at well over one million—making it one of the largest rock concerts ever. Fans packed the former Tushino Airfield, creating an unforgettable sea of people as Metallica unleashed one of the biggest anthems in heavy metal.

Originally released on The Black Album in 1991, “Enter Sandman” introduced Metallica to an even wider global audience and became one of the band’s most iconic songs. Combined with the historic atmosphere in Moscow, the performance remains one of the defining live moments in metal history.

🎸 Twenty million people. Eighteen thousand seats.

On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin returned to the stage for what became one of the most anticipated concerts in rock history. More than 20 million ticket applications poured in from over 50 countries, earning the event the Guinness World Record for the highest demand for tickets to a single concert.

Held at London’s O2 Arena as a tribute to legendary Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, the performance marked the band’s first full-length show in 27 years. After several disappointing reunion appearances in previous decades, many believed Led Zeppelin could never truly recapture their magic.

They proved everyone wrong.

With unforgettable performances of classics like “Kashmir,” Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones delivered a performance worthy of their legendary legacy. Behind the drum kit sat Jason Bonham, son of the late John Bonham, honoring his father’s legacy in the most powerful way possible.

It wasn’t just a reunion—it was a perfect farewell.
