There are times when true and honest discussion should be had. This post is to discuss things that are on my heart and mind as I take a break from studying. As a graduate student I often watch and listen to others partly because of my program (Organizational Leadership) and partly due to my personal curiosity with regards to people and behavior whether it is on an individual level or in a group setting. So far the things I see being praised as great and outstanding are disappointing to say the least.
Long story short, I have been silent as I watch adults in certain positions act like the children they are tasked with teaching and molding. Business is conducted in strange and unprofessional manners and the world has become a place where actions, drive, and determination are overlooked unless of course there is a benefit to be gained.
So much hatred, so many con artist, so many broken hearts that go overlooked everyday. My soul hurts for those voices that try to succeed but are turned away, those people who scream out loud only to be mocked by the wolf in sheep's clothing, those people on the brink of insanity because life just doesn't seem to be fair.
I needed to get this off of my chest because I want someone out there to know that you are not alone. I understand your pain, your hurt, your despair; stand strong. Life is a cycle and although today you see someone doing better than you even though you know they are fraudulent, don't envy them. Keep moving forward and don't look back or around, stare straight ahead. With tomorrow comes a brighter day and you can make it! And for anyone out there who calls themselves a leader on any level but fails to understand what leadership is, shame on you. And for anyone who feels a certain way about this then I must be speaking about you so feel free to email me if clarification is needed. Be strong, happy, and keep your eyes on the prize, whatever that is.
