A memorial gathering for Jason "Crazy Jay" Bird will be at Golden Tiki Sunday July 11th at 9pm. Please call Golden Tiki beforehand to make reservations.
All the love possible goes out to each of you from the Radio Vegas Rocks family. It's impossible for there to be enough room for everyone that shared positive life experience with Jay, but each of you mattered and the time together was real.

Hi fam, it's Woz. I have been left the station along with Dennis Mitchell. We agree the best we can do is turn it into a podcast and streaming channel to broadcast performances by live music artists. That way, there are no licensing and radio-server fees. I had already taken on the website about a year ago, which will remain the hub. I hope everyone can understand the delays in this transition, as it's incredibly emotionally difficult.

Additionally, we also had endless expensive problems with two different app developers, and podcasts don't need their own app. Jay and I discussed such a transition inevitably, as he was doing 5 people's work to manage a 24/7 stream. We decided not to carry on an island platform, allowing folks to get only unique original music on the platforms they already enjoy.

Live events were always the most exciting for Jay, and in that spirit, we know focusing on live performances will be the most successful.

With a heavy heart I reluctantly confirm that Jay has passed. There will be multiple events in his honor because there are multiple scenes and communities that he supported, plus the unfortunate restrictions on gathering and people quarantining. RVR will continue to be a thing, the team will update you here.
