STORYTIME: Not everything goes as planned during a session. Especially a 3-hour session with a newborn and toddler. We tried for 45 minutes to get his big sister to stop crying and take a photo with her brother. Mom and Dad both felt defeated, I could see it on their faces. So I turned off the big light and took baby brother into the newborn room to finish his photos by himself. Big Sis ended up falling asleep on the floor. This was a first for me. We let her sleep for 90 minutes while I finished brother pictures and she woke up and came into the newborn room a little skittish. After a few minutes of trying to get her over to him, I decided to let her take his pictures using my camera and then showed her the back of the camera. That made her very happy. I picked her up quick, sat her on the beanbag with baby brother, clicked 3 times, and got this shot. After the 3rd click, she pushed her brother away and hopped down. I was nervous cause I have never set a toddler on the newborn bean bag, but I am so glad I did. We finally got a shot of the two of them together. Patience is KEY! Even when the parents have given up, I will do everything in my power to make magic happen!
