After being away from radio for 11 months, I honestly never thought I’d walk back into a station again.
But somehow, radio has always been the place where I’ve found comfort… a place where I could honor the people I’ve lost through the power of media and free speech. I’ve used these airwaves to keep the memories alive of my father, my close friend Foxy Rebel Yell, and now my brother, Mr. Multi Hustle.
Even typing his name still doesn’t feel real after losing him this past year. The thought of being back on air without him hits different. I’ve done radio without him before, but this time there’s a heaviness to it. Still, I know he wouldn’t want me to stay down. He knew neither one of us were built like that. Even though part of my heart will always feel missing, I believe this is the best way for me to heal — by speaking life into his name and continuing forward.
Morning Mayhem officially came to an end, and honestly, it ended exactly how it should have — on a high note. Everything has its season. But tomorrow starts a brand-new chapter.
Tomorrow, Wednesday from 7PM–9PM, I’ll be launching my new solo show live on 22.3 Takeover Vegas Radio.
