With the weather cooling down here in Las Vegas and wedding season ramping up, a few of us from REAL Vegas Magazine recently spent an unforgettable night under the stars celebrating a close friend’s 50th birthday at . ✨🥂

We’ve visited The Secret Garden for different events over the years, but we never fully realized just how stunning and versatile this venue truly is! From weddings and corporate events to milestone birthdays and so much more, its beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces offer everything you could want.

The celebration welcomed 250 guests—and there was easily room for another 200-plus!

“So much room for activities!” 😂

This incredible 21-and-over celebration featured multiple bounce houses, vendors, photo opportunities, bars and entertainment throughout the property. The staff was attentive, welcoming and professional from beginning to end.

It was an amazing evening celebrating an amazing man. Thank you to everyone at The Secret Garden for helping make it so memorable. We were beyond impressed and will definitely be planning future events with you!

CARAMEL APPLE MARTINI

Sweet, salty, crisp and just boozy enough. This one tastes like fall decided to come to Vegas. 🍎🍂

Ingredients

* Pinch of salt
* 1.5 oz Vanilla Vodka
* 1 oz Apple Schnapps
* .5 oz Caramel Apple Butter Syrup
* .25 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
* 2 dashes Chocolate Bitters

Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass with a salted rim.

Garnish: Dried apple chip 🍎

Caramel + apple + vanilla with that little salty finish… dangerously smooth.

A floral, fruity cocktail with a refreshing ginger-beer finish—the perfect sip to ease into the weekend!

Lavender Haze

🍸 1.5 oz Grapefruit Hibiscus Tequila
🍸 1 oz Crème de Violette
🍸 .5 oz Chambord
🍸 .25 oz Lime Juice
🍸 Ginger Beer
🍋 Lime Wedge

Build directly in a wine glass over ice. Add the tequila, Crème de Violette, Chambord and lime juice. Fill with ginger beer, gently stir and garnish with a lime wedge.

Gin Rummy For Dummies...

Absolutely 😂 Here’s Gin Rummy in layman’s terms:

You and one other person each get 10 cards.

Your goal is to organize your cards into:

Sets: Same number, different suits
Example: 7♠️ 7♥️ 7♦️
Runs: Consecutive cards of the same suit
Example: 4♣️ 5♣️ 6♣️

Anything that doesn’t fit into a set or run is called deadwood—basically useless leftovers.

Every turn

Pick up one card from either the face-down deck or discard pile.
Discard one card you don’t want.
Keep improving your sets and runs.

How you win

Knock: When your leftover deadwood totals 10 points or fewer.
Gin: When every card fits into a set or run, meaning zero deadwood.

Card values are simple:

Ace = 1 point
Number cards = their number
Jack, Queen and King = 10 points each

Super-simple example

You’re holding:

3♥️ 4♥️ 5♥️
8♣️ 8♦️ 8♠️
10♠️ J♠️ Q♠️
2♦️

Everything works except the 2♦️, so you have 2 points of deadwood and can knock.

In one sentence: Pick up a card, throw one away, and build matching groups or same-suit number sequences before your opponent does.

For clarification and to set the record straight: I, Candice Wiener, am the founder and sole owner of Real Vegas Magazine, a proudly woman-owned Las Vegas business. There are no other owners of Real Vegas Magazine.

Recent questions have arisen regarding an individual and veteran who was reportedly represented as, or allegedly represented himself as, a part owner of Real Vegas Magazine. To be clear, he is not and has never been an owner of Real Vegas Magazine.

As a fifth-generation Las Vegan, I am incredibly proud of what we have built and of our commitment to this community. Real Vegas Magazine has been honored to support our veterans, local nonprofits, charitable organizations, small businesses and the people who make Las Vegas home.
