A few weeks ago I was able to get my hands on the new history book from the Tuttle Twins; America’s History 1215-1776.
And let me tell you this History book EXCEEDS all my expectations! Keeping my kids attention about history was hard; even if I had a passion for history that didn’t mean they did.
When we started reading the America’s History book they loved how it was telling a story rather than just stating dates and random historian names they had no context about. This book has truly made learning about history fun and the whole family has enjoyed learning history together. This book will help challenge your kids to learn from the past and apply those ideas to our world today.

When I find a curriculum our kids actually enjoy learning with; I will scream it from the roof tops (well RV rooftops🤪).
Did I mention they also have a kids cartoon that is laid out just like their books- through story telling and fun adventures of the Tuttle Twins.
I’m telling you they have so many choices for kids every age for learning.

While other History books for kids focus on superficial facts like dates, names and places instead of actually helping the learner understand these facts deeper.

Let me tell you the Tuttle Twins book series never disappoints us! We already have the 11 book Children’s series teaching our kids about economics and government. My kids are always so excited to sit and listen to each of the books. We would sit around the living room and have the best conversations!
I absolutely love history! When we travel we make sure to see and learn about the history behind locations we explore.

Traveling to Las Vegas

We absolutely loved our stay at the Four Seasons Resort !
The views from our room were so cool- we could see the Vegas Strip!
What was really neat was since we were staying at the Four Seasons we had access to all of the pools at their hotel and Mandalay Bay. 5 pools, 4 hot tubs, a lazy river and huge wave pool!!!
We didn’t even need to leave the hotel. But we went for a walk and found the tram that stopped at multiple hotels so we could take pictures out front and see some of Vegas with the kids. The tram stopped at so that was as far as we went and didn’t want to walk any further in the 110° temps of Vegas.
Willow was so excited about “Rapunzel’s Castle” though.
Then we rode the tram all the way back to Mandalay Bay Hotel which is connected Four Seasons Hotel.

Favorite Subscription Box
•Universal Yums Snack Box•
We have been getting this snack box for 2 years now!

When we returned from Europe 2 years ago I wanted to still have my kids travel even if it was from a box at home. Since we weren’t not sure when we would be allowed to travel aboard again. This subscription box really sparked my kids with excitement to get the next country and taste their snacks.

There are 3 options for the snack boxes:
•Yum Box: 5-7 snacks
•Yum Yum Box: 10-12 snacks
•Super Yum Box: 18-20 snacks
Each boxes comes with a booklet with information, about each snacks, what’s in the snacks, trivia games (in the bigger boxes more trivia and recipes are in that booklet)

We get the Super Yum Box.
While this is a fun family box to enjoy… We do a bit more with the box; we dig deeper by discussing the snacks, talking about the countries, homeschooling over the country, deciding if these snacks make us want to go travel to visit that country and more.
It’s a great learning tool for any family wanting to learn more about other countries. Also a great addition to any homeschooling family.

We have only had Thailand and the UK snack boxes twice over the past 2 years. But the snacks inside the boxes were not the same.
•My favorite box was probably Egypt because of the mummy history we learned about- but the snacks were my favorite! 🇪🇬 King Tut 🤯 IYKYK

Kitchen Progress (Flip House)
When we first walked this property we saw the potential of creating a new kitchen entirely!
So that is exactly what we did.
The very last photo shows you what this room started off like. Bare. Empty. No electrical, water or gas hookups at all. We envisioned this new kitchen to be open and the main center point when you enter the house.
So we turned the living room add on to a new kitchen.
We will finish installing the hardware on the cabinets today. Then we only have to-
• install light fixtures
• outlets
• light switches
• countertops
• install the sink, dishwasher and oven
It’s all coming together and we are so close to the finish line!
For those asking: We are flipping this house with the intention to sell it. So as soon as we are done with renovations it will be placed on the market.
I love the new flooring we chose! It’s Mohawk brand 12mm (10mm flooring+2mm foam board) we bought it from Costco for $31.99/box.

Moochdocking-

What is it? Well let me tell you… it’s when you stay at friends or families properties with your RV and they either have full hookups, partial or none. In our case we have water and electric hookups.
We are actually moochdocking at the in laws and while we have been here for quite some time… (thanks to us buying a flip house and renovating it completely) My father in law and I planted a vegetable garden behind the RV.

We have grown Cherry Tomatoes, Jalapeño & Banana Peppers.
We had an idea to plant veggies that would help Jaren making his delicious salsa… he never disappoints us on his amazing salsa!!!
So I have been getting my gardening fix with being here and tending to these delicious vegetables.

I can kill an average plant really fast (hence why I have fake plants in the RV) but planting vegetables and watching them grow with the sunshine… it gives you a sense of accomplishment that you can grow your own food. I feel like I need a reward for tomato growing… because this is the 2nd year of harvest and those little red spheres make me happy. 🥇

•Nomad Families Rally•
11 RV families came together and had a wonderful weekend!!!! That’s 50 people total!!
We all ate together, we laughed together but the best part was we all connected with each other!
Kaylee and I loved being able to plan and create the !
The RVing community is massive and we wanted to create a space were we could all come together and connect in person.
I’m so grateful so many great families made this all happen!!!
We are so thankful for and .glamplife for our amazing rally giveaways!!
This was the first of the Nomad Families Rally and definitely will not be the last!

We went to Universal Studios for Lillie’s 13th birthday gift experience!! She just recently became a Harry Potter fan and was so smitten by all the details in Diagon Alley!
She even picked herself up an interactive wand at Ollivanders wand shop! She walked around and practiced her wizard wand skills.

In 2 weeks she will be an actual teenager!!!!!! 13!!!!
Over the past 3 years time has truly slowed down because we are together as a family and enjoying the time spent while RVing. But those 10 years before went by so fast!
So happy we are giving these kids as many experiences as we possibly can.

These experiences will be far better memories than getting physical gifts. With this lifestyle we chose; we add experiences to our memories instead of stuff.
But don’t get me wrong she will be getting a gift she has been waiting for; for a few years. 😅

Where can you park your RV?

•Boondocking, Dry Camping or Dispersed Camping is when you have no hookups- you usually have a generator or solar panels on your RV for power. Is free or very cheap.
•Moochdocking is when you are at a friends or family members property parking your RV.
• RV Parks, RV Resorts and RV Campgrounds- offer full hookups to just electrical hookups + amenities & cost more.
