Mercedes-AMG is developing a new high-tech, electrified V-8 set to debut in 2027. Designed as a successor to the current 4.0-liter “M178,” the engine will deliver more power than the 720-hp AMG GT Black Series, with engineers confirming its upper limits surpass today’s benchmarks. 🤯‼

AMG’s new V-8 will be quicker, cleaner, and built to last into the next decade, though the C63 won’t see it soon. Mercedes’ V-12 also survives in select Maybach and Guard models, but stricter rules will limit its reach in Europe.
