Folks, do we need a workshop to better report the impacts of these cuts to our community? Do we understand all that's about to happen? Let us know!

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto visited the Community Health Alliance’s Wells Avenue Health Center in Reno to highlight the potential impact of the Trump Administration’s proposed Medicaid cuts. She warned that the nearly $900 billion reduction would harm Nevadans.

Oscar Delgado, CEO of the Community Health Alliance, stated that the cuts would make them limit services, freeze positions, and reassess programs. With Medicaid funding making up 10% of their budget, the organization, which serves 35,000 patients, would be significantly affected.

One in four Nevadans are insured by Medicaid. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, over 300,000 Nevadans would lose coverage.
