It is with great pride that we announce that Reynolds School of Journalism and NAHJ UNR student member, Ally Ibarra, has been selected as the FIRST student to represent Nevada ever in the The New York Times Corps program! Ally will join another 18 students from across the country in a multi-year mentorship program. She will be paired with Amy Schoenfeld Walker, graphics and multimedia editor.

An alum of the graduate program at the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno is the first NAHJ Apple News Fellow! Congrats Anthony! Nevada students! You can do it too!

Anthony, a journalist from Fresno, CA, has been selected as the inaugural fellow! Over the next 10 months, he’ll join Apple’s editorial team in Los Angeles, working across breaking news, audio, newsletters, and more.

Anthony has contributed to the Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, and The Sporting Tribune. He calls NAHJ “everything” in his journey as a proud Chicano journalist — a family that helped open the door to this life-changing opportunity. Congratulations, Anthony! 🎉

Gladys Mejía Cervantes se escapó de su casa y fue vista por última vez el 27 de agosto y se informó que vestía una chaqueta negra, jeans azules y lentes en ese momento. Gladys es descrita como una joven hispana, de 5'6" de altura, 180 libras, con cabello negro y ojos marrones.
