It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we share the passing of Nancy Campbell.

Nancy’s career in Las Vegas broadcasting included time at KVBC-TV before she went on to become a longtime sales manager for KTNV-TV News 13. She later continued her career with Lamar Outdoor Advertising. A respected member of Nevada’s broadcast community, Nancy was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 1997, recognizing her many years of service and contributions to the industry.

Nancy battled dementia for nearly a decade, a long and difficult journey for her and those who loved her.

“It was so hard to see the progression over such a long period of time,” said Nancy’s son, Taylor.

“But alongside the deep sadness, I also feel so much gratitude that I got 40 years with the best mom I could have asked for, when I know a lot of people get less time than that.”

Nancy is survived by her son, Taylor, his wife, Dawn, and her three grandchildren, Miller, Mara, and Max.

We extend our deepest condolences to Nancy’s family, friends, and all those in Nevada’s broadcast community who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

Rest in peace, Nancy. Your legacy and contributions to Nevada broadcasting will not be forgotten.

This year, 29 remarkable individuals who have dedicated 20 years or more to the broadcast industry will officially be inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame, leaving a forever footprint on an industry they have helped shape.

It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we announce the passing of former broadcaster and respected jurist, the Honorable Jackie Glass.

Before beginning her distinguished career in law, Jackie was well on her way to an accomplished career in broadcasting.

A 1978 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism, Jackie moved to Las Vegas and began her broadcasting career as a radio news reporter at KORK-AM 920. She later made the transition to television, joining KTNV-TV Channel 13 as a reporter and eventually becoming a news anchor.

Much of Jackie’s reporting focused on the crime beat, an experience that helped ignite her passion for the law and ultimately led her to the University of San Diego School of Law, where she graduated in 1984.

Jackie went on to spend 18 years as a litigator before serving nearly nine years as a Clark County District Court Judge. She became nationally known for presiding over the 2008 O.J. Simpson armed robbery trial.

After retiring from the bench, Jackie returned to her broadcasting roots, hosting the nationally syndicated daytime television program Swift Justice. Following the conclusion of the show, she transitioned to private dispute resolution, serving as a mediator and arbitrator.

Jackie Glass leaves behind an extraordinary legacy that spanned broadcasting, journalism, law and public service. She was a remarkable member of the Las Vegas community whose career touched countless lives.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband, Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson, her daughters the Honorable Rebecca Wolfson and Rachael Wolfson, and all of Jackie’s family, friends, colleagues and those fortunate enough to have known her.

May she rest in peace.

It is with heavy heart and deep sadness that we announced the sudden passing of longtime KPVM TV News 25 employee, Janet Errett. Janet’s life was tragically taken as she was struck by a vehicle while she was working alongside her eldest son on a landscaping job. Janet is survived by two sons, one daughter and several grandchildren. Our heartfelt condolences to Janet’s immediate family, her KPVM family and all who mourn her passing.

It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of a true broadcasting legend, Scott Gentry.

Born in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, Scott enjoyed an extensive and distinguished career in broadcasting and media. After relocating from Utah, where he launched his broadcasting career, to Las Vegas, Scott became Program Director at Lotus Broadcasting.

He later joined OIZ Advertising Agency as Media Director, where he handled major accounts, including Arizona Charlie’s. But for a true broadcaster, once it’s in your blood, it never really leaves—and Scott’s passion for broadcasting remained strong.

Scott went on to launch Telemundo in Las Vegas. Following its successful sale to NBC, he returned to radio, purchasing the licenses for 1280 AM and 104.7 FM and helping bring a variety of formats and programming to Southern Nevada, including FOX News, Willie Country, KJUL-FM and COOL 102.

Scott was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame in 2001.

Scott was much more than a broadcaster. He was a passionate media professional, an entrepreneur, a friend, and a part of the fabric of Southern Nevada Broadcasting. His contributions helped shape the industry and left a lasting mark on the many people fortunate enough to know and work with him.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, Gail; their children; Scott’s immediate and extended family; and all who mourn his passing.

May Scott rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will live on through the people he touched and the broadcasting community he helped shape.
