HELP, Museum Hanger in Danger!!!! Scroggins Aviation has three cockpit sections on display at the Tillamook Air Museum (the B-52G, F-4N, and CV-880). If you havenāt heard, the museumās historic World War II era hangar suffered storm damage a couple of weeks ago and now faces major repairs.
This hangar is a one-of-a-kind World War II structure. Repairing it will cost a great deal, but the cost of doing nothing will be far greater. If this hangar is lost, the museum will close and its extensive aircraft collection, including the Scroggins Aviation cockpit displays, will be forced to leave.
If you are part of the aviation community and care about preserving historic aircraft and the places that protect them, your voice matters right now. The Port of Tillamook Bay Commissioners own and operate the hangar, and they need to hear directly from those who understand what is at stake.
You can contact them at [email protected] and let them know you want to see this museum and hangar saved.
