2-DAY WORKSHOP EVENT
Scott Trost, the Director of the Meisner Institute in Los Angeles, will be running this event and teaching principles of acting and Introducing the Meisner Method.
The Meisner method is considered a standard for actors who seek agent representation. The Meisner Acting Technique is taught in more than 30 countries around the world. The Institute carries on the work of Sanford Meisner, who was considered to be one of the top three acting teachers in America’s history.
He went on to coach 37 actors to receive Oscar nominations.
All attendees to the workshop will have access to video recording for review later at no cost to them.
Selected participants will receive live coaching with Scott 1 on 1 in person during the workshop. All participants will receive a copy of their video recording of their coaching with Scott at no cost to them.
“The goal of the new venture” said Trost, “is to bring the best training of the 21st century to the very talented actors in the Las Vegas area. It is long overdue.”
Scott Trost is a Master Meisner Instructor who travels the world teaching this method with over 25 years of experience. Trost received his Masters of Fine Arts degree from The Goodman Theater School in Chicago. Trost trained alongside Academy Award winner, Sir Anthony Hopkins, at the National Theatre in London. He is known for pouring his heart and soul into his students, being completely dedicated to them, and helping each actor find their way through this craft of Acting.
“Too many times have I seen productions come from outside Vegas and bring their principal talent and crew with them. They hire local background actors or production assistants, which is great, however we also have fantastic principal actors, amazing directors, and so much more. The goal is for more big budget productions, whether originating from Vegas or another city, to cast and employ more of our local principal talent and crew.
