Alejandra Flores discusses how she entered the mezcal business despite never drinking alcohol in her life. She shares how she traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico, to learn from over a dozen producers, studied agave plants, and developed expertise in tasting and identifying quality mezcal. Through five years of learning about the production process and different agave varieties, she has become highly knowledgeable about her product, even though she does not consume it herself.
