Always take returns if the item doesn’t work.

Sometimes in this business returns happen, it’s part of it. Electronics, (especially cameras) sometimes stop working when not being used for a period of time. I fully test all electronics to the best of my ability and am as honest & transparent in my listings as I can be about the item.

In this case, the buyer reached out and let me know the item they received wasn’t working. I responded with an apology, asked the buyer to initiate a return and provided return shipping label for them. Easy.

My loss isn’t the sale price of the item, it’s my cost of the item which was $2.99 + return label so around $9 total. Oh well, I’d rather lose $9 and gain a repeat customer and continue to build a reputation built on integrity and honesty for my eBay store.

Treat your buyers how you would want to be treated as a buyer. I’m a big believer in doing the right thing, and good things will come to you in return!!
