I flew to Kyrgyzstan to face the one thing that has terrified me my entire life: birds.
When I was 7, I got attacked—and ever since, I’ve lived with ornithophobia. The kind of fear that lives in your body before your mind can even process it.
So I did something that made no sense… I flew across the world to stay with a traditional eagle hunter family in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan.
This isn’t a performance. This is a way of life passed down for hundreds of years—generation after generation preserving a deep, powerful bond between human and eagle. Being welcomed into their home, witnessing their rituals, their respect for the animal, their lifestyle… it’s a 10/10 cultural experience. Truly one of the most fascinating things I’ve ever lived.
And then came the moment I never thought I’d be capable of:
I held an eagle.
The fear shifted. It stopped controlling me.
Kyrgyzstan has my whole heart. ❤️🔥🇰🇬🐎🦅
If you’re looking for something real, raw, and deeply enriching—I cannot recommend this experience enough. And if you want to do it right, with the most authentic access and care:
I can share more details if you’re thinking about it 👀
