Hail and blessed be the hour and moment
in which the Son of God was born

at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold.
In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God,
to hear my prayer and grant my desires,
(mention your intention)
through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ,
and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.

How to Pray the Novena

Pray the above prayer 15 times each day

Start now and continue daily through December 24th

Offer it with faith, hope, and joyful anticipation of Christ’s birth ✨

📿 Today, We Invoke the Intercession of St. Josaphat, Bishop and Martyr 🙏

Today, as we honor St. Josaphat (1580–1623)—a devoted bishop who gave his life for the unity of the Church—we reflect together on his deep faith, courage, and love for Christ. His example reminds us that the work of healing divisions and fostering unity begins in our own hearts, through prayer and charity.

📿✨ Today we celebrate St. John of Capistrano!
As listeners of We Are One Body® Radio, let’s unite in prayer, invoking his intercession — that we may be courageous and steadfast in living and proclaiming our faith. 🙏

St. John Capistrano, patron saint of judges, lawyers, military chaplains, and those defending justice, once said:

Those who are called to the table of the Lord must glow with the brightness that comes from the good example of a praiseworthy and blameless life. They must completely remove from their lives the filth and uncleanness of vice. Their upright lives must make them like the salt of the earth for themselves and for the rest of mankind. The brightness of their wisdom must make them like the light of the world that brings light to others. They must learn from their eminent teacher, Jesus Christ, what he declared not only to his apostles and disciples, but also to all the priests and clerics who were to succeed them, when he said, “You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world.” …By the brightness of their holiness they must bring light and serenity to all who gaze upon them. They have been placed here to care for others. Their own lives should be an example to others, showing how they must live in the house of the Lord. ~From the treatise “Mirror of the Clergy,” by Saint John of Capistrano

May his zeal for truth and love for Christ inspire us to let our faith shine brightly in the world! 🌟

🕊️ Prayer to St. John of Capistrano

O glorious St. John of Capistrano, defender of truth and champion of the faith,
pray for us that we may have your courage in standing for what is right,
your wisdom in serving God’s will,
and your love in bringing others to Christ.
Amen.

🕊️ Feast of Saint John Paul II – October 22 🕊️

Today, on the Feast of Pope St. John Paul II, we honor a shepherd who boldly proclaimed Christ’s love to the world and called each of us to courage and faith.

📻 At We Are One Body® Radio, we invite you to invoke the intercession of this great saint. Ask him to pray that we may have the courage to live our faith and to open our hearts fully to Jesus.

Let us reflect on these powerful words from his Inaugural Homily, spoken on this very day in 1978:

“Brothers and sisters, do not be afraid to welcome Christ and accept his power. Help the Pope and all those who wish to serve Christ and with Christ’s power to serve the human person and the whole of mankind. Do not be afraid. Open wide the doors for Christ.”
— St. John Paul II, Inaugural Homily, October 22, 1978, paragraph 5

May we follow his example and boldly welcome Christ into every part of our lives.

🙏 St. John Paul II, pray for us!

🕊️ Feast of St. Ignatius of Antioch | October 17 🕊️

Today we celebrate St. Ignatius of Antioch, bishop, martyr, and one of the earliest voices calling the Church to unity in Christ.

On his way to martyrdom in Rome, he wrote:
"I am God’s wheat, and I am to be ground by the teeth of wild beasts, so that I may become the pure bread of Christ." 🌾
What powerful faith and surrender.

He gave everything—not just in word, but in the total gift of his life.

🙏 Let’s invoke his intercession today:
May we have the courage to live our faith boldly, love the Church deeply, and offer our lives fully to Christ.

📻 Tune in to We Are One Body Radio today for special reflections and sacred music honoring this great saint.
