Should we have connected? Even in the face of adversity, the answer is always, yes. Hideo Kojima and his team built a sequel to deserving of the moniker of "2". Improving every aspect of its gameplay and telling us a story where characters have evolved as people from the last time we saw them. They are pushed further than ever before and so is the player; experiencing all that Mexico & Australia have to offer. Like the footpaths of prior porters, their paths make it easier for our current journey. DS1 walked so DS2 could run. Extinction isn't just ending, it's an opportunity. Death can't tear us apart.
