One of the reasons we needed to get off the road was to show up more for friends, our families and our communities. Unfortunately, our very good friend Jacki Becker needs our help, and so we're turning to our strongest allies, all of you.
She was recently diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer and has just been rushed into treatment. Her and her partners' lives have been thrown into turmoil with work not an option and bills piling up. I'm asking that if you can spare anything to donate to help her in her time of need and to give her a fighting chance.

Jacki booked MBD at a house show in Lawrence, Kansas in 2002, and since then has been the promoter for 106 Murder By Death shows. She has been the production manager for our Stanley Hotel shows, and many of you have met her when she jumps in to help sell merch, or coordinate photos or help you at the door.
She is one of the very closest friends of MBD, and she is a pillar of the local community: servIng on the Juneteenth Board, East Lawrence Neighborhood Association, Just Food Board and chair, Parks and Rec Board board and chair, Lawrence Bicycle Advisory Board, and Kaw Valley Kickball League Board member and commissioner (as well as a 22-year player).

We're gutted she has to go through this: Jacki has been a role mole, mentor and friend and has bettered the lives of anyone she comes in contact with.
