Well, we're finished up here in Somerset with all 3 shows - super fast! Bourbon was able to pull out another leg with a BOSB in Show C 😁

Bourbon and Prada won BOV and BOSV respectively in each show but there were not enough in the broken variety for Prada to win any legs. She won't be a senior for another month yet so she still has plenty of opportunities to get her senior leg as well!

Congrats to Wabbit Warriors Wabbitry on their 3 BOB wins with three different littermate white sisters 🙌 good luck in the BISs!

Bourbon got BOSB in Show A here in Somerset to earn his senior leg! Now I can get him registered and start the paperwork...

Bourbon got BOSB in Show A here in Somerset to earn his senior leg! Now I can get him registered and start the paperwork for his GC 😄 very excited for him!

He will be replacing his dad, Face, as my other herd buck and I'm ready to get him to work breeding does this fall!

My first babies from the BEW project 🙌 this sweetheart is the only one that I believe is VM based on the face markings (lack thereof) and the light eyes. I'm not sure if they will be marbled or blue but they seem awful light even for a lilac!

This cross was Face (broken black) to Penelope (VM black) so I don't think this would be anything close to a charlie baby especially because it has nice markings on its back.

What do you all think? VM or just PVC?

I decided to hold on to this little guy from Maki's last litter - he's a Mini Lop/Rex cross that just so happens to be chinchilla, so he's staying for a while!

His ears have just recently flopped over but I'm not sure if it's the heat or part of his Mini Lop genes, what do you think?

Either way he's super cute 🥰

Super excited to have Full of Heart Marv here to help with the BEW project! He's a lightly marked broken black with beautiful blue eyes to match Penelope 🖤🩵

While I won't be breeding again until late August, I'm still very grateful to have this sweet boy here until then. My kiddos especially love his affectionate temperament!

🌞 Brandy kindled today, finishing up our spring litters and kicking off summer break.

She kindled 4 live kits, 2 broken castors/black otters, 1 castor/black otter, and 1 amber/chocolate otter.

She also kindled a pair of DOA kits - one looked like it wasn't fully developed but large like its other DOA, furred sibling.

And 3 very small and underdeveloped kits that must have died maybe halfway through development. Picture in comments for those who are interested.

She left a few placentas and all the DOA kits in the front of the box and that's the part I really hate but that is so important. Checking and making sure that you remove all birthing material and/or DOA kits, especially in heat like we're having now!

So we've got 4 litters in boxes and grow outs in the big cages waiting on new homes/freezer camp. Lots to do still and a few shows to get to this summer!

Y'all, this girl blew my mind at the Capital City RBA Show today 😁

I ended up getting Prada back on a trade from my good friend Bullitt Buns not knowing what to expect since I had not seen her since she left as a kit. After looking at her on the grooming table I knew she definitely had the potential, especially with her coat.

She was kept in wonderful shape and matured well with Sarah (thank you!) and was able to pull off BOB wins in shows A&C and BOSB in Show B 💪 and while we did have a small group of Rex exhibitors, we did have enough to earn legs, so Prada only needs 1 senior leg to earn her GC!

Bourbon was not able to beat out Full of Heart Homestead's Jeepers today but I'm SO HAPPY that he was able to earn his senior leg for his GC - that's awesome Beth 😄

So I'm hoping at the next couple shows both Prada and Bourbon might be able to earn a leg for their own GCs!

Mai had 12 babies tonight! She did a wonderful job, pulled a good amount of fur and babies looked fed already 😁 I think we have some chocolates, a pair of whites, and a lot of dilutes! With such a big litter we will see how they all do but I do expect some losses.

Shout-out to Kim Womack and Breza Homestead & Rabbitry (and my husband lol) on their correct guesses on number of kits before she kindled!
