HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
As we get ready to say goodbye to 2023, I have been reflecting over the last three years…. Since March of 2020, life has been unpredictable, COVID, the world has fallen into chaos (well, more than usual), and everything feels crazy.
However, I like to think of myself as an optimist. Even though the last three years may have taken more than it has given, it can’t rain all the time damn it.
So, with that in mind, I want to wish each of you a safe and wonderful new year. May 2024 be an inspiring and amazing year full of promise and success. Sometimes life can be a struggle… but I truly believe that if you work for it, you can make life and the world whatever you hoped it would be.

Now this next part might seem a bit sappy…. Firstly, I want to thank all my artists on the MK2 Artist Management roster. I also want to thank the following for their support over the last year: Johanna, Kittie, Seth, Matt, Alvaro, Joe, Erin, and Keoki.
I don’t always do this but I feel like I need give a shout out to those of you that I am grateful to have in my life. I want to thank them for their support and/or work over the last few years:
James Thewlis, dude you have been a brother to me and a source of encouragement with my music, my talent, and the business. You are the silent partner in a three man team that gave MK2AM a chance to work. Thank you for your dedication and for 21CPH’s support.
Noel Sanger, as the primary label for the future of my music, all I can say is thank you for believing in me and supporting my work by releasing it. You are a fantastic human being and I thank you for all you have done for me and for MK2AM.
Erik Johnson, I know you and I haven’t seen much of each other over this past year, but you are and will always be the OG and mentor I have needed over the years. I appreciate you always being there when I’ve needed you. You rock!
Krystle Holmes, you are one of the few people who has helped me keep my dream alive. Whether it’s been late night talks or feedback over my music, your insight has always remained incredibly valuable to me. You are an incredible friend, thank you.
Jocelyn, my best friend of 30+ years, vocalist, and music collaborator, you are a force that keeps me grounded. We have written music that has taught me how to use my art to express my experience. You also were key to helping me get through the loss of my best friend. I could not have made it through without you. You know me better than I know myself. Love you, girl! (I wish you and your family continued success in Germany! My love to your kids… 😍).
Sandra Collins, I could not have asked for a better mentor, sister, and friend to guide me through this crazy world of music. It is because of you that I have even come close to my goals as an artist. You have taught me so much and have truly cared about my success that it is hard to believe how lucky I was that Scott Henry put us together (thank you Scott!). I love you sooooo much!!!! Thank you!
Alex Whalen, so over the last two years, you have been incredibly special in my life. As my business partner, mentor, music collaborator, and friend, you have gone above and beyond to making MK2AM work. When we first started this venture, we were under a different name and a completely different model. I was incredibly fortunate to have you as my right hand man (then.. becoming partner later). It was only two weeks after we launched that my best friend died and I needed time to grieve. There was no one better suited or that I trusted more to handle the startup in my absence. Over the last year, we have tried to compete with some of the biggest names in this business. While we have been working our asses off to keep it going, you have been an instrumental part in achieve any success at all. Whether it’s the five hour long phone calls that we have had, trying to find our way through, or the hours of web and email work, you have been a rock for me. I can not stress enough how much I appreciate you and how grateful I am that you agreed to jump off this cliff with me. Thank you my brotha, thank you.

Thus brings 2023 to a close. As we open 2024, I remain hopeful and optimistic. May all of you have a fantastic New Year!
All the best!
